“Nice Hotel but lacking handicapped amenities”
Reviewed 15 November 2011

I made this reservation 4 weeks prior to our stay. I requested a room on the lakeside with a handicapped accessible bathroom. I was not informed until the day prior to our arrival that there are not rooms on the lakeside with a handicapped accessible bathroom. BIG disappointment! We had a delightful view of the parking lot. The front door of the hotel also does not have a handicapped auto door opener. When I checked in the clerk bumped up the price from my reservation price-even without the lake view! I had to remind them of the reservation price. That said the room was nice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The meal at the restaurant (dinner and continental breakfast) was very good. While the handicapped discrimination was frustrating our stay was okay.

Thank you for taking time to review our hotel. We apologize that you felt that your needs had been met unfairly. Our goal is to make every guest feel welcomed and cared for. Clearly we were not able to accomplish that for you this time. We have taken your feedback to heart and we would like you to know that this is something we are looking to correct. We do plan to add 2 more handicap accessible rooms and we are placing these rooms on the lakefront of our hotel. I hope that in the future you will consider staying with us again after we have completed these renovations. Thank you again for your feedback, and we are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us.

This hotel had clean, crisp linens on the beds, the room was pretty average. I paid the extra $10 for the lake view which I felt was worth it! Gorgeous. Our room had a nice balcony too. The continental breakfast was outstanding. After staying at about 10 hotels during the trip, this place had the nicest breakfast. As other reviews mention, you can smell the smoke from the casino upon entering the hotel lobby but our room had no hint of smoke or noise from the casino (our room was on the south end of the hotel).

Stayed here 2 nights while heading to Glacier NP. The room was very clean, price was good and the breakfast was better than most. The location is nice because it's on Flathead lake, nice veiws and even if you don't have a room facing the lake you can still walk around the hotel grounds and see the lake. Front desk staff was very helpful with restaurant suggestions. I would definetly stay here again.

Although the Hotel itself is excellent, the rooms are great and the views are fantastic, the gambling is NOT. There is no place for anyone who does NOT smoke to go and have a drink in a quite environment. Best Western used to have a wonderful place for people to eat, drink, watch TV as well as the great views of the lake. NOT anymore. It is a shame, and I am aftraid people are going to start looking for alternatives.

Room Tip: Lake side.

Really enjoyed our stay there. Great staff. We were right on the lake in a spacious room. Their breakfast was one of the better ones we have had on our trip to Montana. My only disappointment was a boat trip that I had read about to Wild Horse Island that they had cancelled because of not enough interest.

This motel is directly on Flathead Lake in Polson, Montana. There are boat docks in front and a large boat that the motel uses for tours of the lake throughout the day. Our room was on the first floor, with about 20 feet of grass between our patio and the lake. The patios have chairs and a table to use at each room where we sat in the evening and watched a beautiful rain storm and sunset! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms new and very clean. The staff were so helpful and friendly. There is a casino if you would like to gamble a bit, as well as a nice restaurant with an outdoor patio by the lake with very good food. In the morning they said they had a free continental breakfast. It was one of the best of our trip with eggs, sausage or bacon, biscuits and gravy, as well as the usual fruits, cereals, rolls, juices, teas and coffees. We actually got reservations for our return trip as well, we liked it so well. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Ask for a lakeside room. We especially liked the first floor.

This very pleasant and nicely-kept resort on the southern edge of Flathead Lake is in a "desert" of such places, although certainly not in the sense of the the landscape. My several stays have always left a pleasant taste in my memory, and it is the accommodation of choice for visitors headed toward Glacier Park and on north. The staff is congenial and helpful, and the view looking out over Flathead lake adds to the comfort of the rooms. This stay is one element of your trip to the parks that will be assured and comfortable. A minor additional plus: I never have a difficulty parking my car in a dent-free position!

Room Tip: Check to see if some sort of organized gathering, convention, etc is scheduled in. Might want to av...
