Friendly and clean. Comfortable bed and nice linen. Quiet. Tasty breakfast, Fine continental breakfast. We would definitely stay here again! PS The trails were awesome also :) I had a King Room - beds were cozy and suprisingly the pillow were soft and comfortable. Decent continental breakfast and friendly...

Great room decor, Knotty Pine and old coal mining implements, bathroom remodeled and very nice tile / marble.
Breakfast cooked to order every morning of our groups stay. Waffles, Pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy.
I would stay again if in the area, have advised many of what a great place for travelers this is. Close (within a days travel to and back) to Cody, WY, Little Big Horn and Yellowstone.

This was our first trip to Yellowstone so we chose an area close to the park. We absolutely loved the city of Red Lodge. The town was small enough to walk all of it but had plenty of places to eat and shop. Like most tourist locations, lodging can be expensive and after researching, chose the Alpine Lodge in Red Lodge. It was a really cute little place & very clean, If I have one complaint it would be the size of the bathroom. Our room had a gigantic really comfortable bed that may have been bigger than the bathroom which made getting ready a challenge in the morning but I would not hesitate to stay there again. The owner cooked our breakfast outside which was delicious. There were several choices. I had 2 enormous pancakes ( I'd have ask for one if I'd known how large) and my husband opted for an Omelette. It was fun chatting with the owner and other people staying there on a beautiful August morning.

Alpine lodge was a great choice for our night in Red Lodge before we drove the Beartooth Highway down to Cody the next day. We stayed in room 109. Very large room with extremely comfortable king size bed (nicely firm--no sagging mattress like you get in a lot of those chain motels), desk and chair, rocking chair and kitchen area with sink,, fridge and micro and table and 2 chairs. I really appreciated how well lit the place wAs, and our older eyes especially appreciated the two reading lights above the bed. We could park right outside our room which was great. Town is about a mile down the road, and it is a straight shot with no hills so can easily be walked if you don't feel like driving. Breakfast is served at tables set up outside from 8-9, and it is cooked to order. My husband had pancakes and eggs and I had scrambled eggs with cheese. Both of us found our food delicious. We were very happy with our decision to stay here, and would recommend it to others.

Slept well in a clean room. Queit location. The highlight was breakfast . Have a chat with Larry while you watch him cook your breakfast. Personally I had the gravy/biscuits, waffles, would stay again if I ever get back to Montana .

The room was nice, very clean, quite and reasonably priced. The breakfast was the best I have ever had at any hotel stay. It is a unique place to stay. The bathroom is divided into two sections so one can get ready at the sink and mirror while othrers can shower.

Well, what can I say. Larry & Trish are great hosts. The rooms were clean and very comfortable and you will be making a big mistake if you pass it by. Larry will make you a breakfast that will make you want to stay another night. Ladies, Larry says kissing the cook is.....ok. but don't tell Trish.....
