We had a great time staying in wonderful cabins. Kevin and Tammy were the best hosts.

I can't recommend this place enough. Absolute tranquility, heavenly landscapes, wonderful hosts. We found Blue Sky Cabins through Trip Advisor - it was last minute, we were already in Montana and needed somewhere to stay so we could do the Beartooth Pass and drive into Yellowstone when we left. We really wished we could have stayed longer.

I'll be echoing other reviewers here - for us city folk we felt like were in the middle of nowhere and loved seeing the deer/wildlife out our window. Stayed in the Spirit Cabin. Rustic on the outside, luxury on the inside. Very clean. The cabin kitchen was thoughtfully stocked. We went to Red Lodge for dinner one night, cute little town with some surprisingly good restaurants (ie Bridge Creek). The cabins are about 25 min from Red Lodge so it's a little out of the way...but for us it was more than worth the drive, which was in itself beautiful. Overall a very special place. Hopefully we can return some day.

We stayed to have a peaceful home base to go into Yellowstone and loved it! The drive to the park is through the Bearthooth Highway, perhaps the most scenic drive we've ever done (this includes many drives throughout the West (CA, CO, etc) and the European alps!). The scene at the cabins is unparalleled, with a perfect sunset view over undisturbed prairie and dramatic mountains. Overall, we totally loved it and couldn't recommend it more!

We absolutely love Blue Sky Cabins. This was are second visit in two years, both in the summer. The setting is unique - spectacular views of the mountains, beautiful vistas of deer-filled ranch land, access to some of the finest hiking and fishing in the world. We use the cabins as a launch for day hikes and adventures in the wilderness. We rode mountain bikes, fished in the pond and nearby rivers, enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning and evening. The cabins are spectacular. We stayed in "Hold Your Horses" (fun and romantic) and the newest cabin, "Spirit" (a work of art). Yes we'll be back!

we stayed at Blue Sky Cabins for 3 nights in August while touring the "Wild West". Had read the reviews and they were all spot on. The location couldn't be more perfect - out in the green rolling hills of Montana with the mountains at your back. The cabins come fully equipped and are quite roomy. Great beds and linens. It is so peaceful and quiet there. there's a beautiful pond, lots of exploring and hiking to do, and we took a great 12 mile bike ride up through the hills and into the forest. We actually barbequed dinner one night because we didn't want to leave the cabin! the hosts are as nice as can be and offer all kinds of advice on what to do and see while in the area. Would definitely return!! We all need a place like this to unwind in. I didn't want to leave. i loved the sound of the Blue Heron in the morning, and we always had deer right outside our window.

My wife and I had a great time while staying at Blue Sky Cabins in Red Lodge, Montana. The owners', Tammy and Kevin, superior service started as soon as we contacted them to make reservations. While making our reservation, Kevin asked several questions about the reasons for our trip and any activities we would like to do while in the area. A couple of days later, our confirmation notice and brochures concerning our expressed areas of interest arrived.

We were greeted by Kevin upon our arrival at Blue Sky Cabins. He gave us a tour of our "Spirit" Cabin including the king size bed, two person whirlpool tub, and the two person shower with mutliple sprays from the normal hand held to a waterfall! After the tour, Kevin spent a long time explaining the information he had sent us with his confirmation notice. Our preferred activities were hiking, fly fishiing, and wildlife viewing.

Kevin explained where on the property were the best for viewing wildlife as well as different locations within a short drive. He was right on with his advice. While sitting on the front porch of our cabin, my wife and I would watch the deer and elk graze in the field about a block away. From our porch we saw deer, fox, elk, cranes, and other many different types of birds.

Kevin gaves us information concerning fly fishing. My wife and I had never fished in this manner before so we needed instruction. Kevin gave the information for several guides including their rates and contact information. Kevin, also, offered to teach us himself. The property has a pond stocked with several types of trout. We decided to take up Kevin's offer. Kevin took us to the pond and taught us how the basics of fly fishing. He allowed us to keep the rods and reels for the duration of our stay so we could fish or practice any time we wanted.

Kevin helped us plan our hiking trips. He supplied us with a map along with many recommendations for our hikes. He was able to tailor his advice or suggestions to the duration and level of difficulty we desired. We went on several hikes of moderate difficulty, 5 to 7 mles long, rising from 200 to 1200 ft in elvation. Our walks included trout streams, waterfalls, lakes, wildlife, and superior vistas.

Kevin and Tammy were perfect hosts. They were there when we needed them and invisible the rest of the time. They provided us with luxurious accommodations and excellent suggestions for activities on and off of the property.

Our trip to Blue Sky Cabins was all we asked for and more. The service and ammenities were tremendous.

Unfortunately our travel schedule allowed only two nights at Blue Sky. We wish we had at least two more. We stayed in Granite, the largest of 5 two person cabins designed for folks like us--a couple wanting to get away from the crowds, noise, and hustle and bustle of towns and cities as well as more conventional family resorts. The cabin was immaculate and spacious, the views of nearby 12,000 ft mountains fabulous, and the abundant wildlife fascinating to watch at close hand. The full kitchen facilities were truly "full", with a the kitchenware and basic foodstuffs needed to prepare breakfasts and other meals with supplies that guests can purchase at grocery stores 15-20 miles away.
Kevin and Tammy, Blue Sky's hosts, were wonderful and readily available to answer questions and provide advice about hiking, fishing, and relaxation opportunities that are nearby.
We very highly recommend Blue Sky. We will certainly be returning.....
