“Resonable and Clean”
Reviewed 22 July 2014

Red Lodge businesses have a short time to make it in the summer months and ski season thus a little higher than the norm for hotel room rates. The Yodler is close to the downtown area and restaurants. Although an obviously older motel comparatively the rates are reasonable, It's clean and the staff is very friendly. The upper floor rooms are a little more modern and spacious while the lower floor (daylight basement) are a little smaller but comfortable. Small TV (21") for all that matters but again clean and a decent place to stay as you explore the Beartooths, ski or just enjoy the mountain town atmosphere.

Room Tip: This motel has two floors the lower floor being similar to a daylight basement. The upper floor room...

Green Features: I wasn't aware of any. Again the room was clean and fairly comfortable

Traveling on a motorcycle... Arrived through a Beartooth Pass very cold white out hail storm... Tulsa made the check-in quick, simple, pleasant, and friendly... Price of the room was very reasonable... Parking was very nice... The second story room is as high as the deck at your home... Room was very comfortable and has a front and back door with a porch on both ends... Took advantage of the hot tub "a huge plus"... WiFi worked well... Ate dinner and breakfast in town... Smaller town that had most anything you would want... Enjoyed the local history and wished I had more time to enjoy it... Gasoline was not a problem... Thank you Tulsa... Looking forward to a future trip including Yodeler Motel

Room Tip: Stay on the second floor

Thank you for the wonderful review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope that you will be able to stay with us again in the future. Hopefully the weather next time will be a little better for you but with the mountains it can be anybody's guess :-)

Very clean and affordable. The steam bath was great. The outside was very clean also. We will stay here when we come to Red Lodge. Short walking distance to downtown area. Prindy's cafe was close for an excellent breakfast!

Room Tip: We stayed in the lower level and it was fine.

Definitely go for an upper level room, with both a front & a back door, which is a nice extra. The upper floor rooms also have a shared porch at the front of the property, where you can sit & watch 'the world go by'. It is an easy walk to the main area with restaurants. Don't expect everything to be new, as it's definitely an older style property. But it has a nice feel to it and the staff are friendly. There is no problem parking. You can park either at the back or front of the place. The back has a small lift to avoid using the 6 or so steps, if you have trouble with your bags. The front parking on the main road is good only if you're on the upper floor, as you can get easy access from your front door to your car.

This place was great! We stayed one night and had a great experience. We were running late the night we were checking in and Mac gave us a call to check on us. We stayed in a lower level room. It was modest but nice, quiet, and clean. The steam room built into the shower was a neat feature. In the morning we met Shackleton in the parking lot and Tulsa helped us mail postcards! I love this family owned hotel and fully recommend it to anyone staying in Red Lodge. The owners are a fount of knowledge of the area.

We stayed for one night after driving from Yellowstone. The Yodeler motel was a great historic motel, with lots of character. The arrangement of our lower level unit was unique, with a recessed entrance way to ours and one other room. The room itself was clean and functional, with microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom contained a steam bath feature, which was fun to try. All in all, I'd recommend it highly and would stay there again.

We stayed here for one night for the start of our trip to Yellowstone. It is within walking distance of all the shops in Red Lodge but unfortunately we arrived late and all the shops had just closed for the night. We had an "upstairs" room which had a front & back door with a little bench on the "front porch" perfect for enjoying the evening with a glass of wine. We were up at the crack of dawn to hit the road so our stay here was brief. They do get a lot of motorcycle travelers so I could see where it might be noisy but we beat them up. Coming from the south one of the first things you notice is the big difference in sunrise & sunset times due to the higher latitude but the room had very good dark out curtains. The hotel also had a great free internet connection. Be sure to walk to the Cafe Regis for breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Get an upstairs room
