We stayed there 3 nights and the location is quiet and tranquil, and very convenient if you are visiting Yellowstone through the NorthEast Entrance. We stayed at the Pine Edge Cabin 3- the cabin was average, had most of the amenities except for a microwave which would have been very useful, though the silverware was minimum, and the cups and plates were used-up and old.
I was a bit disappointed with the cabin, as the pictures somewhat are deceiving. My guess "the silver gate cabins" may be newer and the pictures used in the website are of those, and probably you will have a better experience renting one of the newer cabins. The Cabin 3 is a bit old, dark in side (could use better lighting), and the floors were sticky near the kitchen and in the toilet, the toilet was very crammed, hardly can turn around without knocking something out, and the toilet ball was WAY TOO close to the wall, and can not sit properly. We found a BIG blob of hair (not ours) in the shower and that was very disappointing.
The Lady who checked us in was helpful, polite and accommodated us with an extra mattress. Overall its an minimal OK stay, manageable as its so close to the NE gate of Yellowstone, so Im giving 3 instead of 2.
