My husband, 2 kids and I had a great time in Silvergate and at Grizzly Lodge for 2 nights! We woke up early and visited Yellowstone (saw 2 bears and lots of bison!) then returned to our room to relax and let the kids play in the yard and fish in the creek! We felt so fortunate to call this place home for 2 nights, the staff was friendly, the rooms outdated but clean and we really appreciated the big lawn for the kiddos! We only wish our view had been better, our room was in the middle of the buildings and unfortunately when we looked out our windows all we could see was a big RV parked there for the length of our stay, blocking our view of the creekside. Our only complaint. Otherwise, 2 thumbs up to this place, awesome!

We loved this rustic lodge just outside the northeast park entrance. The room was clean and had a nice new bathroom. It is located along a beautiful stream beneath towering mountains. The restaurant next door was great for breakfast.

We were supposed to stay in Cody, Wyoming but the road out of Yellowstone National Park had been closed due to a landslide. We had to take another road out of the park and landed in Silver Gate, Montana at 10:00 p.m. with our very tired 7 year-old in tow. We were so appreciative to the gentleman at the Grizzly Lodge for the last room in the place. Wonderful, down-home folks that I'd love to visit again.

We had reservations at the motel 8 in Cooke City and were told they were no good. We found Grizzly Lodge and met a man named Gardner. He just happened to have three rooms available and we decided to stay. He treated us like royals the rooms were rustic but very clean, a perfect fit for the area. After eating at a great restaurant just next door we returned for a great time around the camp fire. We had a totally awesome time. Thanks Gardner and thank you Grizzly Lodge. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely stay at Grizzly Lodge.

Room Tip: Just talk to Gardner, you will definitely enjoy your stay.

We were traveling on July 19, 2014 with 2 other couples on motorcycles and had a reservation in Cooke City, Silver Gate Montana's neighbor. Upon arriving at 3 p.m. we learned we did not have rooms for some reason . After searching for a room we landed at the Grizzly Lodge. When we arrived the "open arm" welcome we received made us forget all about the room we lost at the other hotel. We walked into Rustic, Clean, Fun accomodations! The manager directed us to the best places for supplies we needed, brought us towels to wipe off the Harley's with out us asking, brought us a cooler full of ice to put our beer in!!!!!!! There are picnic tables and lounge chairs next to the river's edge for your enjoyment. They build a fire every night so it's like social hour and meeting people from all over the country. We made new friends!!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, had what you needed. it may not be listed as a five star hotel but the hospitality makes it a ten in my book! We will go back. Thanks Garland for making what was destined to be a bad situation for us into one of the best hotel stays ever!!!!!

Room Tip: They have rooms 19 and 20 that have a mom and dad room with attached kids room!
