I had read a review that there were year-round residents that were noisy, etc. So I was prepared for something negative.
Very pleasantly surprised. I think someone turned on a stereo for a while around 8pm, and it was off in about 20 minutes.
Very clean. Very low key. Really nice amenities: Small restaurant serving meals, very complete store, some of the spots had a very nice view of the distant mountains. It looks like they have some small cabins that can be rented.
A couple of blocks from the main drag in Virginia City. A couple of blocks from the arena where they held the camel races. A block away from the historic cemetery.
Dogs were welcome and not an issue. The people next to us had a cat that was very cool, popping in and out of their rig. There were places where we could walk our dogs.
Full hookups so that we could leave the dogs in the air conditioning in the rig while we went to the camel races.
The town is dog friendly, so we walked our dogs up and down the main drag. The Delta saloon said that they could come in while we gambled.
It looks like they also have shuttles that run through the town. However, I would check on this. We walked everywhere even though we had a car.
They have some tent camping spots too.
We had a great time, and wouldn't hesitate to return to this park.
