“Sucked! Unprepared! Misrepresentation! False Advertising!”
Reviewed 6 June 2012

We just stayed at hotel a few weeks ago! Big Mistake! Our room faucet leaked when turned on. We ask for queen bed got full. The only Internet access is in the office! We paid 120.00 for the night, and was a dump! Paint peeling, the great resteraunt they advertise closed for the summer! Not to mention the nasty grounds cig butts and trash. No pride taken in this place!!!! Do yourself a favor stay elsewhere! Oh and the coffee pot leaked all over the counter. The buffet they offer $8 all you can eat but you have to travel elsewhere. No coffee offered in front office. Do not stay here you will regret it! No extra lock on door.

Room Tip: Stay somewhere else

Friendly on the phone, they gave us a discounted price when we booked ($237 for 2 nights) Reception area was nice, the staff pleasant, and it was close to the West Yellowstone Gate, but those are the only highlights. – even with that discount the price was still way too high for lack of quality. We stayed on the 1st floor, in the end room at the back of the parking lot. The pool was unusable (though they did not advise of that when we booked). The power outlets were dangerous (some did not work, others sparked, batteries did not charge right, and it ruined my laptop – had to replace it after the vacation). The window to the parking lot was located in the shower (without curtains). Carpet was pealing up and the floor was not level. Beds were very uncomfortable. Our neighbor in the room next door did not have a working smoke detector, the phone rang off and on through the night (midnight, 2:00AM, etc with no one on the other end – unrequested wakeup call?), and they said it looked like they had just started to demo for a renovation – they were NOT happy. I have stayed in a lot of hotels throughout my life; this is one was the worst. Think of it as a slum lord who is not looking for repeat business. It left a lasting impression on my children (they now say to make sure the hotel is not like what we stayed at in West Yellowstone – that place was gross!!!). Nice location, but in desperate need of a complete renovation. We did stay there nearly a year ago, so if they have renovated since, you can be the judge on the value. We will not, however, be staying there again.

We arrived late due to changes in our travel plans and this was the only hotel that had rooms left. Now I know why. Check-in was very slow and several people were waiting before us to get a room. Front desk clerk wanted detailed information which slowed things down even further.

We got rooms on the second floor and walked by emergency exits who's stairs were missing (there was a construction sign).

If you turned on the ceiling fan even at a moderate speed It was shaking and likely to fall on your head. Also do not lean against the bathroom sink because it is loose and will come of the wall for some part. Furthermore It looked like the room wasn't so clean after all. We avoided further inspection.

Of course wireless was also not usable from within the room.

Even if these were the only hotel rooms in West Yellowstone I would rather drive far away to another hotel than stay here ever again

Tired, worn out, dated, and probably one of the worst value hotels I've ever stayed in. It's truly Motel 6 style at Marriott prices. If you have the energy to keep driving, there are better hotels at half the cost 45 minutes away in the Island Park region. You are paying solely for the location and nothing else. If you are okay with that then you won't be disappointed.

The beds were fine. There was a fridge. The "closet" was just a bar/rack above the fridge. There was no handbar/bath mat. The paint was flecking off in some parts of the bathroom. No breakfast. No elevators.

The rooms are need of refurbishment, the bathrooms are a disgrace, the sink was hanging off the wall and the towels were dirty.
Also empty beer cans in the drawers, we asked for a refund which we got minus a 4$ service charge for them to clean the room as we had occupied it for the whole of ten minutes.
You would be better of staying in a tent give it a miss.
