Owner description: See Yellowstone Alpen Guides has operated small group and private tours in Yellowstone for 32 years. Our naturalist guides are experts in all things Yellowstone and are fun travel companions. They will help you experience the extraordinary wonders the Park has to offer during both winter and summer. Small group size guarantees you a personalized touch not found on most tours. A company with experienced long-term employees, we pay close attention to detail and quality and strive to be the premier guiding company in Yellowstone and the surrounding area. Join us as we explore this delicate ecosystem that is home to Old Faithful and two-thirds of the world’s geysers; where grizzly bears, wolves and other abundant wildlife roam freely. We cater to individuals, families with children and groups of all sizes. We have lodging and tour packages available; one call will take care of your Yellowstone vacation planning needs. Winter snowcoach tours operate daily to Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. We offer the option of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing on our trips, and customized charters are also available. We provide shuttle services to guests staying at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge. We operate two types of snowcoaches. One is a converted Ford Vanterra and the other is our classic, historical bombardiers, modernized for comfort and low emissions, made for over-snow travel. Summer tours include Lower Loop, Evening and Morning Upper Loop Tours, Grand Teton Tours, and private customized tours to meet your desires. Whether you are a first time Yellowstone visitor or are returning for your next adventure, we can help plan your itinerary. Your trip can include things like wildlife watching, a day hike to a backcountry geyser basin, a photography safari, and seeing the sites that make Yellowstone America’s grandest Park. See Yellowstone Alpen Guides believes it is important to protect and preserve our national treasures. We generously donate to the worthy Yellowstone Forever, the West Yellowstone Foundation, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Trout Unlimited, and many other organizations dedicated to protecting the environment.

Recommend this tour company.
1. John Cox tour guide - knowledgeable, personable. If at all possible -ask for John.
2. Vehicle cleanly - slight malfunction with some sprinkles of water dripping from A/C when ON.
3. Lunch boxes - satisfactory
1. Laurie, tour guide - though most of the time congenial, his function more of a driver than tour guide. Did not exit vehicle to explain sites. If at all possible, request John Cox.
2. Grand Teton Tour - drive was too long.
3. Jackson Hole - stay of 30 minutes too short. At least two hours to better enjoy the town.
Conclusion: do recommend this tour company.

We booked three different day tours with See Yellowstone for a family of four, including two senior who doesn't speak English. We had a great experience with all three different guides - Suezi, Laurie (a mountain man, not a lady), and John.

The guides are apparently passionate about the life the woods/mountains. You get the sense from conversation that they regard it as their home. Sustain the ecology system and protect the bio-sphere is not a slogan but really sync into their behavior. For example, Guide Suezi picked up dried apple pit thrown by tourist on her way, and collect all sorts of garbage from tourist into her own garbage bag. It is not her obligation but she does it as she cares for this place.

Booking private trip with these guides will be prob even better. But the tour may end up just having you and your family, so it could be essentially your private tour as well.

We took two tours with see Yellowstone tours. The first tour was just ok. Our guide told really lame jokes and bragged on himself a little more than he talked about Yellowstone. The van was clean and comfy and the other passengers were nice but we felt that Don could have stopped a little more often. The second your was great! Our guide was John Cox. John was knowledgable and interesting and fun. Wewould take his tour again.

We did the 12 hour tour through Grand Teton and Yellowstone and there were only two more people in the SUV so the tour guide Steve was extremely accommodating. He introduced us to Huckleberry Ice cream and it was really really good. The sights he took us to we would not have known about if we went by ourselves plus he spotted lots of animals for us to take pictures.

This was our first trip to Yellowstone. We rented a home in Big Sky. After reading a lot of reviews on different companies, we choose SeeYellowstone Tours. It was easy to communicate with the company prior to our tour. It took us a little less than an hour to drive into West Yellowstone. (We followed Route 191 straight into West Yellowstone. It was an easy drive with beautiful scenery.) West Yellowstone is a nice little town. It was very easy to find the Three Bear Lodge where their tours go out. Since we were a family of 10 (5 adults-5 kids-17,14,12,10,9), we took a private van tour. The van was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the air conditioning and the cooler of water in the van. John was our tour guide. Since it was a private tour, we got to choose were we
wanted to go. We decided to just follow the lower loop tour. John let us stop and get out where
we wanted. We never felt like we were rushed. Of course a must see is the eruption of Old Faithful and the Old Faithful Lodge. We chose to each lunch at the Lodge as well. The Lower Falls was a gorgeous site. We were lucky to see a number of bison and 2 elk close up. John was very nice and extremely knowledgeable. He got out at the sites with us. He was easy to talk with. We all enjoyed the tour. We began our tour at 9:00am and returned back to the Lodge around 4:30. Afterwards we walked around to see the town and ate dinner in town.
