“Enjoyed My Stay”
Reviewed 26 February 2013

This was our groups first trip to West Yellowstone and the Kelly Inn was awesome. The staff were friendly and helpful. A great pool and hot tub helped the cold and sore muscles after a long day of riding our Ski Doos. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Our room was great with the woodsy decor and a the bed was soft and comfy. I will definitely stay with Kelly Inns again.

Room Tip: All of our groups rooms were great. We did have extra room and a couch in ours for the same price.

Thank you for taking the time to submit such a nice a review of your recent stay with us. We're happy to hear that your group enjoyed your first visit to West Yellowstone and enjoyed our hotel. We are always pleased to have so many of our Canadian neighbors actually come south to enjoy our snow every winter. Since shipping charges to Canada are so high, many of our northern guests plan an annual snowmobile vacation here and have their new clothing or equipment purchases sent UPS to the hotel to be used on their vacation. We gladly hold any packages sent to our guests at the hotel. Since Montana is also one of the few states with no sales tax and has lower gasoline prices than most of the country, the savings of an annual Xmas shopping trip through Montana to West Yellowstone makes for a great annual event for many of our guests. We hope your group will become regular visitors to West Yellowstone in the future and will choose to stay with us again on your next visit.

We have been going to West Yellowstone in February for the past 14 years to spend a week snowmobiling. This was our groups 1st time staying at the Kelly Inn and it will be the hotel we use for years to come. From my initial conversation with Sally on booking the hotel to the day we checked out, the staff was very helpfull and friendly. We had a wrecked snowmobile and Tommy (one of the maintance crew members) took the time to visit with us about what happened and give us the guidance we needed to get it fixed. This was definately going above and beyond...thanks Tommy! The rooms are clean and the beds are wonderful. Our group is already looking forward to next years trip and we will definately be staying at the Kelly Inn.

Thank you for the nice review. We're very pleased to hear that your group enjoyed your very first stay with us and have now chosen us for all your future visits. While it is unfortunate for us that it took you 14 years to find us, we certainly will do everything in our power to continue to meet your expectations for the next 14 years and hopefully much longer. Thank you for recognizing Tommy's efforts to help with your snowmobile problem. We're sure he will be delighted to read your comments. We'll all look forward to seeing you again next February.

This hotel is a awesome hotel. It has a big indoor pool and spa very clean.. Breakfast is very good and instead of waffles they have a pancake machine thats awesome.. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. Pet friendly hotel and thats a plus. Comfortable beds, clean rooms. They also have an indoor sauna. They are walking distance to all the restaurants in town. Also they are the closest hotel from the main gate and visitor center is across the street..Will be back to stay..

My company took a group of co-workers, clients, and board members on a two-day snowmobiling trip in Yellowstone and the surrounding area. We were a group of 33, which took a lot of forward planning. Sally Hill and the staff at Kelly Inn were absolutely amazing. They accommodated our group and made extra efforts to get us all rooms on the same floor. The rooms have been recently remodeled, and they were clean, comfortable, and cute! The service was stellar, and every question was answered and every need met. It was also fun to have hot chocolate available in the lobby 24/7. Thanks for helping make our event so great!

Room Tip: The suites are quite large, and a great value, but any room is great.

Thank you for the kind review. It was fun having your group and we are very happy to hear that your snowmobile adventure was a successful outing. If you ever plan another getaway adventure in the warmer months give us a call and we'll help set you up with a tour of the park, a rodeo, a musical play, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, boating, trout fishing, zip lining, bicycling, hiking trails or watching the grizzly bears and wolves. There is an amazing array of activities in the Yellowstone area in every season which can be investigated on our web site or discovered with a phone call to our hotel. It would make a great reward to be able to make a trip to Yellowstone an annual event.

I wouldn't say this hotel is great, but it is great for us. We have small dogs and at times enjoy bringing them with us on vacation. Kelly Inn is exceptional at handling pets. They place you in a downstairs room that has a door directly to the outside. This makes it so easy. Considering, the rooms are always clean and the beds are fair. We usually get a fairly decent sleep. There is a mini-fridge with a microwave and that is helpful. My daughter likes the indoor pool. The location is within walking distance of everything. We really like the location and the staff is always friendly. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but everything in this little town seems to be a bit overpriced.

Room Tip: If traveling with pets, be sure to ask for a pet room.

Thank you for submitting a review of your stay last Sept. We appreciate that you chose to stay with us and are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. As pet owners ourselves, we certainly understand the need for hotels who appreciate pet owners. Since most hotels here don't allow pets, our company's three hotels in West Yellowstone chose to be pet friendly and reserve only our third floors for those who require rooms that are pet free. While most pet owners choose our first floor rooms with the extra outside door for the obvious convenience, we also allow pets on the second floor's larger family rooms and suites because we have so many returning pet owners with large families who now choose to stay with us on every visit.

You may not have noticed that our new lodge furniture cedar log beds are actually topped with new Simmons Beautyrest pillow top mattresses to assist in a better night's sleep so we hope you slept well. We have actually had so many requests for purchase information from our guests that we placed direct factory discount contact info for both our new furniture and bedding in every room and at the front desk.

You are certainly correct to point out that all food and lodging in and around the entire Yellowstone wilderness area is far more costly than the average city due to the isolation and overwhelming demand on the limited land and resources here. That's why we are extremely fortunate to have the support of a company like Kelly Inns that allows us to reinvest so heavily in our hotel to maintain the facility and improve amenities every year. In addition to our new furniture and bedding we also added new 37 inch Panasonic LED TVs to every room and were able to remodeled our breakfast room and the lobby and entrance floors before running out of time during the last short down season. With the 3.5 million visitors to Yellowstone increasing every year the down time to complete projects seems to get shorter each year but we do have plans to keep improving. We hope you will notice even more changes on your next visit.

This hotel was wonderful. The atmosphere was great, the facilities were very nice and functional, and the breakfast was good. The only downside is that late at night there was noise coming from the hallways, but that is more the fault of the visitors rather than the hotel itself. Overall, this is a very good place to stay in West Yellowstone. 4/5, almost a 5/5.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for taking the time to submit a review of your experience. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed our hotel and hope that you will return to visit us again in the future and see Yellowstone in the other seasons.

We're sorry about the late night hallway traffic. The Valentine's Day and President's Day holidays combined into a long weekend this year that made a perfect sweetheart snowmobile vacation. That created a total sell out of the hotel while you were here which is a bit unusual for winter months. While we were delighted to have so many guests during a typical slower season, having such large crowds in town reminded us more of summer in Yellowstone than the normal quiet of winter. If you should plan another visit in the future please give us a call in advance and we'll do our best to help match up your preferred visit dates, desired activities, room type and room location to best fit your needs and can give you a forecast of what is going on in the area for any particular time period. We hope you will make a Yellowstone visit a regular event.

I took my wife on her first visit to the US in October of 2012. She really wanted to see Yellowstone National Park and since I haven't lived in the US since 2004 (we are in South Korea), so I scoured the internet to find a nice place for us to stay. In the past I didn't have much luck picking hotels/motels from pictures on the internet and during our month long travels through the US we had unknowingly booked quite a few BAD places to stay...
I needed some redemption and if I wanted to stay married, I needed it fast (hehe)...fortunately for me, we hit gold when we booked with the Kelly Inn!

The rooms were CLEAN and the staff was extremely helpful and kind. My wife LOVED the furnishings...log furniture with nature scenes for the pictures/paintings and bedding. She fell in love with this place and decided to stay married to me (thank goodness).

This GREAT Inn has an indoor sauna, jacuzzi and pool plus it is located in a GREAT little town right outside of the Yellowstone park. We spent the days looking around Yellowstone Park, then shopped and eat delicious foods in the evening before taking a dip in the pool and jacuzzi. I can definitely say that the few days spend in the Yellowstone area at Kelly Inn were the BEST part of our vacation.

It is now February 2013 and I am FINALLY writing this well-deserved review...AND my wife is STILL talking about Kelly Inn!

If you wanted a great little get away or if you need to get out of the proverbial "dog house", the Kelly Inn would be my #1 suggestion!

Room Tip: All of these rooms are GREAT!

Thank you for your kind comments. We're very glad to hear that your decision to stay with us turned out to be such a positive and memorable experience in your long journey. We appreciate that you took the time to share your experience with us and many others who have never been to Yellowstone and might face those same lodging concerns. We're happy to hear that your wife is still talking about your trip and hope that your friends, family and neighbors enjoy learning about the wonders of Yellowstone and may have the opportunity to visit in the future. If they are interested they can go to our web site where we have links to a video tour of the park as well as links to live web cams from the most popular attractions in the park. Next time you need to get out of the "dog house" give us a call and we'll be glad to help you arrange an even more memorable return trip. If you've never been on a snowmobile, winter in Yellowstone is a beautiful opportunity for a totally unique adventure.
