“Easy access to the park”
Reviewed 23 August 2014

Stayed a few nights at this hotel.
Excellent hotel and location; friendly staff
Quiet place, very close to the park west entrance.
Walking distance from IMAX theatre, restaurants and shopping.
Room was very confortable, large and clean.
We loved the lodgepole pine furniture!!
Our first floor room had a convenient parking access. The outside entrance is great when you have a dog.

This is a wonderful hotel for a one-nighter / passer-by or an extended family stay. Its right on the doorstep to the West entrance to Yellowstone. We decided NOT to stay in YS because I'm sure it would be a tourist trap. Make no mistake, West Yellowstone is STILL a tourist trap but at least you have a lot more choices to get ripped off. :)

The hotel is everything you would expect from any other hotel. Clean, courteous and helpful staff, nice pool area, free breakfast that's really nice, mini-fridge with heater, heat and AC works fine and wifi that works fine too.

Its the small details that this hotel offers that makes the difference. Computer in the lobby with printer AND paper in it. The pancake maker (two of them) is a real hit with my son who is a pancake and waffle junkie! The pool is pretty big for a hotel this size and they have WATER TOYS! All-day and all night coffee, hot chocolate, tea is a HUGE winner. Different breakfast each day is awesome. They have an outdoor gas fireplace area with open flames --- nice touch! And they have a BBQ area with picnic tables if you want to bring some of your own briquettes / coal. There is a list of channels on a printed list inside of a plastic stand beside the TV --- brilliant. Extra bucket near the ice machine ... helpful. 110V outlets and USB ports on the table - thank you.

I do, however have a few other things to note: having to walk across the dining area to the pool and sauna is kind of weird. The beds are too soft for my liking. I also like a firm pillow ... the ones they supply are super squishy. Proper sneeze / splash guards on the food would be nice. The dining area is nice but a little crammed. My biggest complaint about this place is NO POTATOES for breakfast! Seriously? So close to Idaho and passing miles of potato fields on I90 in Montana and no potatoes for breakfast?!? No excuse for that.

Anyways, we had a great stay. I would not need to look for another hotel when I return to Yellowstone.

Room Tip: First floor rooms have parking lot entrance for easy luggage transfer.

Thanks for sharing so many of the little details both good and bad you experienced during your stay. Of course everything is subjective to individual tastes but we're happy to hear that you enjoyed the majority of our efforts to set us apart. The breakfast bar and adjacent seating area was actually part of our pool room up until last June when we completed a minor remodel to trade pool space for breakfast space. The legal requirements for access to the pool, bathroom and emergency exit required a bit of off the wall design work but the addition of a second dining area and breakfast bar has been well received. Sorry, but we are still searching for a decent breakfast potato product. Since we do not have a restaurant on site, we are only allowed to serve precooked heat and serve perishable foods by county and state regulations. We just haven't found a decent precooked breakfast potato product that we can be proud to serve but we haven't given up the search. The best we could come up with is the Jimmy Dean brand skillet mixture of sausage, onions, peppers and potatoes we use for our make your own breakfast burrito day. We promise to continue the search and hope to try some more "tater" options before your next visit.

We stayed here with our extended family. Very nice hotel. Clean and nicely furnished. Comfortable. We had the suite with jacuzzi tub. The tub is just a jetted tub in the bathroom so nothing special. The suite also had a small kitchenette area, microwave, sink and fridge. What was great we could bring our dog which was nice. The breakfast was OK eggs, cereals, fruits, breads. Staff were friendly. Walk to all restaurants and shops. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: The suite we were in is directly over the lobby so there is noise from tour buses idling but it was...

Very nice hotel. Spent one night there. The beds were very comfortable. Nice size rooms. The rooms were spotless. Had a 3rd floor room, no noise except for an occasional door slamming. Wi Fi accessible. Within walking distance of many restaurants and shopping. Continental breakfast was part of the room rate. Nothing fancy but filled you up. One stoplight away from the entrance to Yellowstone Park.

I recently stayed 2 nights at the Kelly Inn and was very impressed and satisfied. The hotel was furnished nice and was quiet even though every room was rented out. We got a queen deluxe room and it had plenty of room for 5 of us. My kids loved the indoor pool and hot tub. I would stay at the hotel again and would recommend it to anyone.

The room was a little expensive, but their aren't a lot of options in West Yellowstone and it is all about supply and demand.

Unless you want to stay directly in the park (Yellowstone), this is the best place to be! It's literally within walking distance of the entrance to the park. (I'm sorry, I think the west entrance.) It's in the main part of the town of West Yellowstone and across the street from an Imax Theater which shows various films about Yellowstone and the area.

Check-in was quick and painless. My room wasn't quite ready, but it wasn't a problem because I wanted to get to the park anyway. The woman checking me in was really helpful and answered my questions about the park.

The room was just as cute as could be. I appreciate the extra outlets for charging things. My room had an outside entrance to the parking lot and one going into the hall. The shower worked great and the air conditioner was wonderfully cool.

The room itself was very clean.

At first, I was a little unsure about the noise because there were some kids running around outside around 9:00p, but it quickly quieted down and I never heard anything all night.

The only negative was the coffee in the room was pretty bad, but there's a McDonald's next door.

Room Tip: Rooms on the first floor have indoor and outdoor entryways. Rooms above have cute little bears look...

Thank you for choosing to stay with us. We appreciate that you took the time to share your recent experience on TripAdvisor. We're happy to hear that you enjoyed our hotel and felt that it was the best place to stay outside the park. We're sorry that you didn't like our room coffee. This is the first complaint we have had about our room coffee since we upgraded to a more premium blend for our single serve pots but it seems that the east and west side of the nation each have a different preference in their coffee style. That's why serve a different style in our lobby/ breakfast room 24/7 for those with a slightly more western preference. We hope you had an opportunity to sample it as well. We look forward to seeing you again on your next visit to Yellowstone.
