We arrived in West Yellowstone with reservations at Moose Creek Inn. I won't go into that here but I will say that Kelly Inn was able to get us in with no reservation. We stayed 4 nights in the king jacuzzi suite and I can tell you that this room ROCKED. Clean, huge and the A/C worked almost too good. The breakfast was your standard expanded continental, waffles, pancakes, juice, cereal, muffins, etc. But it was a good way to start the day. The staff made us feel very welcome and they were really great at accomodating us on such a short notice. The room also had a wet bar and a small refrigerator that we used to keep our drinks cold and re-freeze our re-useable ice packets. All in all, Kelly Inn helped make our stay very nice after a disasterous start with Moose Creek.

Thank you for giving us the chance to serve you. As you discovered, there certainly can be a difference in lodging choices and we appreciate you choosing to stay with us. We're glad that we could help in any way to improve your visit to our remarkable little town and our neighborhood playground, Yellowstone National Park. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.

West Yellowstone is very 'touristy' and the Kelly Inn obviously fits right in. Probably one of the nicer places (on the outside at least) in town but very pricey for what you get. Had a major problem with the room on the first night and management approached us first thing the next morning and comped our first night stay because of the problem. Management was very concerned and apologetic and we didn't have to fight for a reasonable adjustment. $200 per night for a room that would cost $60-$80 per night anywhere else and a free breakfast that was nothing but cereal and donuts in a crowded hallway. Fortunately McDonalds was right next door. So we got our junk food fix for breakfast every day. Yellowstone National Park was literally just around the corner, so the location was great for a great part of Yellowstone. Can be at Old Faithful in less than an hour from hotel.

Thank you for choosing to stay with us on your recent visit. We appreciate your comments and the fact that you let us know of the room problem right away so we could resolve it quickly and make a fair adjustment. We were sorry to hear that because of the temporary crowd that you missed seeing the entire free breakfast assortment and chose to spend money at the neighborhood fast food franchise.

Our deluxe continental breakfast service actually includes freshly made hot pancakes, make your own waffles, hard boiled eggs, two kinds of fresh fruit, four kinds of cereal plus oatmeal, bagels, English muffins, two kinds of toast with jelly, peanut butter or cream cheese, three kinds of juice, two kinds of coffee and several kinds of teas in addition to the donuts and muffins all included at no charge with every room.

We hope that if you should return to visit Yellowstone National Park again in the future that you will choose Kelly Inn again as your lodging choice. While all lodging rates in and around the park are above average in the summer months, our rates are very affordable during the off peak season when the park roads and wildlife are far more accessible. Our web site can provide helpful information on rates and activities throughout the year.

We spent 2 nights here during our trip to Yellowstone National Park. The rooms looked alright but we soon found out the walls were very thin. You could hear the people in the rooms next door even though they spoke in their normal voices. We also heard the yappy dog across the hall late at night and early in the morning. The ceiling above creaked when the people above us walked around. To top it all off it was overpriced. Other than that, the room was comfortable and it was in a nice location near Yellowstone.

We hope you enjoyed your visit to Yellowstone National Park. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to serve you. We certainly appreciate your comments regarding your stay. The walls between our rooms are actually 6 inches thick with sound blanket insulation and double layers of gypsum board on each side and the ceilings are 10 inches thick just to make them as quiet as possible. Unfortunately, on occasion, we do have excited young guests on vacation who unintentionally can create enough noise to disturb other guests.

We have desk clerks on duty 24 hours a day who are there to cheerfully resolve any request or any complaint if they are notified. A simple phone call to the front desk at any hour can quickly resolve nearly any issue. In addition. as General Managers, we actually live on the property so we can be aware of and monitor any excessive noise or activity while allowing our exuberant younger guests to fully enjoy their stay with us. While we are pet friendly and do not charge for pets, we do require pet registration to prevent any unsupervised pets and can relocate any unsupervised or unruly pet to our private "rescue" kennel if necessary.

We hope that you will return to our beautiful West Yellowstone community in the future and give us another opportunity to serve you. If you book direct with us we will be happy to reserve one of our extremely quiet third floor rooms where pets are not permitted.

My family and I spent 3 days in Yellowstone (July 5-7). After a long drive from Seattle and day at the park, we went to check-in. When we arrived, we were told that they did not have our reservation recorded. Despite the fact that we had made on-line reservations and received a confirmation email just days prior to our trip, we had no reservation when we arrived. To make matters worse, the service from the front desk was very unapologetic and claimed it was "not their fault". After much discussion, a room was found for our family. We were told "you're lucky to get this room". If this were not a busy holiday week, we would have immediately left to find another place to stay, however there were no other vacancies in town. We were given a upgrade to a larger room, which was appreciated. However, the very next morning, we received our bill under the door stating that we had been "checked out" after one night's stay. After visiting the front desk again, we were assured that there was a glitch and indeed we had two more nights in the room. After a three night stay, we received a bill and we were charged three different prices for each night that we stayed. Overall, we had problems each day at this hotel. The service at the front desk was very inconsistent. It was very stressful to deal with this on a family vacation. It is not comforting to worry about whether you will still have a hotel room when you finish each day at Yellowstone. This is the most difficult hotel stay I have ever experienced.

We hope you enjoyed your visit to Yellowstone Park over the Independence Day weekend. We were greatly disappointed to hear that you had such a frustrating experience in checking in at our hotel. We were able to research your reservation history and discovered that it was originally made on-line at 1:56 PM on May 21 and then canceled at 8:29 PM the same day under the name of Steve ---. No other reservation appears in the record.

Unfortunately our staff had no control over why the reservation was canceled and did not appear in our reservation system. We apologize if they appeared somewhat confused and a bit panicked when they had no rooms left and could not find any reservation in your name. However, thankfully, our great front desk staff were able to creatively find a way to accommodate you when we were already sold out. We apologize for the confusion the following day, but we had to check you out and then try to move other confirmed reservations around in order to be able to check you back into the same room for the next two nights. We were happy to not only upgrade your room, but then match the price at the time of the original canceled reservation to attempt to make an unfortunate situation a bit less stressful.

We hope that if you should ever choose to visit Yellowstone National Park again that you will consider giving us another opportunity to serve you and book directly with the hotel over the phone or call to confirm prior to your stay to prevent any internet booking confusion.

We loved the stay in Kelly Inn.. The room was just perfect for our family of 5, very spacious and comfortable. The location of this hotel is extremely good. The rooms are very clean and there is a nice pool which is maintained very very clean. The hotel has complimentary breakfast which includes cereals, fruits, bagels, eggs and much more. I would reccommend this hotel to those planning a trip to yellowstone.

My husband and I stayed here for a week and didn't want to leave. From the moment we walked in we felt so welcome. The general managers Sally and Don were so warm and friendly as well as the front desk staff. Deb and Ammon became our trip guides and gave us fantastic information on the best places to hike and visit. The continental breakfast was perfect for a dietician - whole grain cereals and bread, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, apples, oranges, great coffee both regular and decaf and teas. They even had this new pancake machine that turned out some healthy, hot pancakes in minutes and a machine for fresh waffles. For those not watching their diet they had a selection of donuts and muffins.
