“Good way to pass time and learn a little”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

Hubby, kids and i stopped in to learn more about wolves and grizzly's. The place was cool. I really enjoyed watching the behavior of the bears. Spent about 2 hours here and had a good time. Worth the amount of donation they collect.

“Extremely rude people working here stay away”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 June 2014 via mobile

We came to see if this would be a good place to show the kids the way real animal lovers take care of animals but what a disappointment. They were so rude to my children I was disgusted. Stay away from this place. Their loss because I was planning on adopting an animal. They should think twice before excluding children who are 5 minutes late signing up for a program.

We’re very sorry to hear you felt you didn’t have a positive experience at the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center. Over the years we’ve found it to be necessary to have a cut-off time for our most popular programs in order to ensure the safety of all the participants and to be able to complete the program in a timely manner taking into consideration visitors schedules. Despite your experience, we do hope you had a good trip overall.

“Up close wildlife”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

It was so amazing to see bears that close up. My kids got to help hide food before they let the bears out and they loved it. The wolves were interesting but I was glad for the glass between us. Overall a great experience.

“Nice But Expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014 via mobile

My youngest son was eager to see a bear in Yellowstone. His mom was relieved that this did not happen while we were in the park. While staying in West Yellowstone, we decided to visit this discovery center. The facility was nice, but it was very expensive. 13 year olds get charged as adults. An employee could not effectively use a microphone. Some of the exhibits needed repair. The place is small. We would not visit again.

“Wolves, Grizzly's and Eagles You Can't Miss”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 June 2014

We went to this place on a whim and are glad we did. YOu can see bears in their natural habitat with a river flowing through it while foraging under rocks and logs to find hidden fruits placed by the keepers before they let the bear in. I wasn't too sure about this place but once I saw the setup Im glad I did. The bears and wolves are made at home and get to interact with other bears and hunt food like they are used to.

The great thing about this place is the ticket is good for 2 days so you can come back and see different bears if you missed one in particular. We enjoyed seeing the 1000 pound grizzly Sam and the next day the 5 bears all together.
