We are energetic professional photographers and are not unhappy we stayed in Buffalo RV Park for three weeks. There were so many reasons why.
st the staff was wonderful to work with and so accommodating. Second: Clean restrooms! Third:Town is within walking distance. Fourth: National Park is right next door and easy access. Fifth: IMAX was great! (we actually saw two movies and a couple times went over and took advantage of getting a 50cent ice cream cones and another time popcorn and taking it back to watch a movie at our RV). Sixth: Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center right there and... Very educational!! Seventh: Kayaking advantages with companies in town. Eighth: Island Park nearby. Ninth: Visitors Center is right there for tons of information. Tenth: We wouldn't hesitate to camp here again!

There are no photos of the actual RV sites on their website. This is probably because it is a parking lot with gravel and hookups. The restrooms are the cleanest we have ever seen.
There are no amenities here at $55/night and 23 rules...suggest you stay T the GrizzlyBear RV Park up the street.

We used the website to book which worked well, our reservations were waiting for us when we got there. The park is small, but worked for us. It was quiet and we did not have any problems the couple of days we stayed there. There were full hookups, laundry, and the bathrooms were very nice and clean. The free IMAX tickets were a nice plus. The entire park is crushed rock, the sites were level and it looks like it is waiting to be paved, there is curb and gutter installed throughout. I think the price is somewhat reasonable compared to other parks in town, and for how little time we really spent at the site it was OK. No campfires, and a nice picnic table for each site. There was enough space for the camper and vehicle, the sites did not feel overly packed together.

Room Tip: The back-in sites are slightly cheaper and easy to navigate. I easily backed my 30 ft 5th wheel into the spot, and I was surrounded by larger diesel pusher motorhomes that did not have any problems.

Due to its location literally at the Yellowstone property line, Buffalo Crossing is as convenient as it gets without staying in the park. It's a small RV park with all the amenities of one of the big ones without the crowds. The gravel pads were level and the park is well kept. We found the staff very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Buffalo Crossings!
