We really enjoyed our stay in the Explorer Cabins. They had all the best amenities, from flat screen TVs and granite countertops to binoculars and ingredients for S'mores that we could make in the fire pit that was lit by the staff each night. We had tons of space for our family of four to spread out and relax. The Cabins are hands-down the best accommodations in West Yellowstone for families. We will definitely be back!

I agree with the three previous reviews concerning the amenities and the descriptions of the room, but we had problems with no hot water three times during a five night stay, and we heard from the person who was in our cabing #26 the night prior to our arrival, who also did not have hot water. The maintenance people were aware of the problem as was the general manager, and the problem was corrected each time within an hour-plus a thirty minute wait for the water to heat up again. Tthat involved inviting the maintenance workers into the cabin with four females and one male four times. That is unacceptable. When there was hot water, it was barely hot and only for a short period of time. (30 gallon water heaters). An offer of a price reduction due to this problem would have been nice, but was not forthcoming.

Room Tip: Avoid room #26.

Thank you for taking time to post about your family’s stay in a new two-bedroom Yellowstone cabin. We are very happy that you enjoyed the cabin’s features and amenities. Excellent point on the hot water heaters, we are in the process of switching them out to ones with greater capacity. Thank you for your patience when we came into your cabin to try to get the hot water heater working. We sincerely apologize for the lack of hot water. As we do not know your name, please feel free to contact our General Manager, Norma Salinas at 406.646.7075 if you would like to discuss recompense. We look forward to your family returning and staying at the Explorer Cabins at Yellowstone.

very homely and comfortable 2 br cabins with plenty of windows and natural light, stayed in Yellow stone #35 one king and one bunk with 2 teens, very comfy beds, kitchenette well appointed, excellent towels and toilet supplies. Few minor issues with electronic keys, clogged toilet and water temp, resolved promptly by courteous staff, thanks Ceja and Juan.Enjoyed coffee on patio,2 Flat screen TVs,walking sticks,Binoculars. The only negatives I can think of not having a second bath and a proper walk way from parking spot in rear to front door, and wish the side door had access keys too. also wish they had a mirror outside of the bath or vanity seperated from bath

Room Tip: bunk bed good idea for kids

We truely enjoyed are nite in West Yellowstone in Cabin #7. We really were impressed with all the amentities that were included. The books, and walking sticks provided made us fell like we were in our own home. After a long day in the park to be able to come back and have a cold beer on our porch was very relaxing. The beds had wonderful bedding and very comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful with granite counter tops ,stainless steel dishwasher and microwave it really shined. The bathroom was beautiful with a very large walk in shower. Our stay was very special and we can't wait to return next year. For anyone looking for an exceptional place to stay in West Yellowstone.....this is the place.!!!!
P.S. the" Somemore's" personal package to roast your marshmellows outside your cabin in the gas firepit was just one more special touch........Special thanks to Pete and Derek for their hospitality.

Thank you for being our guests in Washburn Camp’s cabin #7 during your first trip to Yellowstone. We are very happy that you enjoyed the cabin’s features including the Explorer Amenities. The ability to relax and enjoy a favorite beverage with one you love on your very own private porch is an experience we hoped that you would enjoy. Thank you for taking time to make yummy S’mores in the evening over the outdoor fire pit. Pete and Derek say hello and thank you for being such great guests. Thank you also for taking a moment to post about your stay and we look forward to your return visit.

Thank you for being the first guests to stay in Washburn Camp’s cabin #2. We are very happy that you enjoyed the cabin’s amenities and yes, the robes are wonderfully fluffy. We use a local coffee vendor and we are glad it exceeded your expectations. Thank you for taking a moment to post about your stay and we look forward to your return visit.
