We had a wonderful stay at this campground. The rv spots were large and the campground it's self was well kept and clean. The staff are very helpful and go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. Close to the West Entrance of Yellowstone National Park.

Each tent gets a bigger place than the RV's. While the RV's are side by side as usual, the tents are off to the side surrounded by big trees.

The hot water and water pressure are also great. It takes about 15 minutes to drive to the West Entrance of Yellowstone from here. There was a 30 minute line of cars to get into the park on August long weekend.

This is a new koa, not to be confused with the other one down the street..no pool, but we never use them anyway so that was fine with us...there are some very rustic tent sites and cabins in the wooded part right by a mountain stream...motorhome parking is kind of like parking in a field..I'm sure they will be making a lot of improvements since it just became a koa. Very convenient to yellowstone...near the neat little town of west yellowstone. People in office nice and pizza at their resturant is one of the best.

We spent 3 nights at this KOA. We were a bit concerned after reading some of the previous reviews. We decided to check it out ourselves and we found the staff to be very pleasant, friendly, and helpful. The sites were pretty level and dry although they were grass and not gravel as most KOA sites are, I am sure that they are in the process of completing this as well as the traditional KOA- A frame office. All of the facilities were clean and well maintained. There is a nice playground, and an excellent dog exercise area. The store was well stocked and reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.

Just wrapped up a two-night stay at this KOA, my second ever visit to a KOA campground. Spent two nights in a tent under the brilliant Milky Way... I live on a Caribbean island with very little light pollution - seeing a multitude of stars is part of my norm - but I cannot express HOW BRILLIANT and BEAUTIFUL the skies were above the Mountainside KOA this weekend.

Our late check-in was well accommodated, the campsite was easy to find, and the allotted space was more than enough for our two-person tent. The staff were fresh-faced and friendly when we visited the general store and we found the few items we needed.

We washed a load of laundry at the brand new laundry/shower building behind the general store. It's a great facility with 7 or 8 private, self-contained bathroom+shower rooms. I think I saw 7 high efficiency washers and 6 high capacity dryers - all brand new.

We very much enjoyed our stay near to the park - a 10 minute drive from West Yellowstone's business district... My only regret was not ordering a pizza from the KOA instead of the overpriced food in West Yellowstone.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this campground to a friend. Although this road trip was my first encounter with the KOA brand, both the Mountainside-Yellowstone and the Glacier-St.Mary's locations have left a favorable impact. Looking forward to next summer's road trip, and hopefully will try out the KOA camping cabins.

We needed to move our Mountainside KOA reservations around a little bit and they were very accommodating. We pulled in and were assigned a site very quickly. The site we were assigned was number 95. The site is very un - level, we did not have enough blocks to make our trailer (25 feet) level. But there had been some rain a few days before our arrival, so that probably comes into play. We used the playground (great), the laundry facilities (brand new!) and restrooms. The laundry cost $3.00 per wash and .25 cents for 10 minutes on dryer. I was very pleased with the big washers and dryers. Our kids fished in the stream (caught tiny trout). We were told the "fishing"ponds do not have fish. The campground is about 25 minutes into the West Entrance of Yellowstone. And about 1 hour into the Old Faithful Geyser. We found the drive very "do- able" and not that bad. We did see Bison walking near the road about 1 mile outside of the campground. Overall great stay. Thanks KOA

This was my favorite spot to camp when visiting Yellowstone this year. The entire campground is clean and set up very nicely and you can tell that the people in charge care about keeping up the quality of this place. That being said, it is a new KOA, and thus is very nice.

When reserving the campsite we requested that we be put in a back, out of the way site because of the fact that we were traveling with two dogs. They put us right by the pet walk and in the back next to a stream, which the dogs absolutely loved and was great in regards to walking them and the view was great as well.

The bathrooms were very clean and the showers were individual rooms, which was a treat and very welcome.

The staff at this KOA were all extremely friendly and helpful. For example, one staff member, Tony, helped us to fix an issue that we had with our mirrors. Within minutes of the issue being mentioned, he was at our campsite fixing the mirror for no charge whatsoever. It was so above and beyond, and we are extremely thankful for the help.

Wifi at this campsite is free and available to everyone. Though there are times that you may have an issue getting connected to the internet, this is just because of the volume of people using the service, and is in no way the KOA's fault. Once the volume dies down a little the connection is fine and gave no problems, no disconnecting at all. Was able to watch Netflix with no buffer times and in high quality.

This campground is wonderful. If you are looking for a great place, please consider staying here.
