We were staying at the Three Bears Lodge and ate breakfast and dinner in the restaurant several times. We each received a $3.00 off breakfast coupon for all three nights we were booked there. This basically covered the cost of our morning coffee. The food was good but for some reason the toast always seemed to be a challenge. The first day it came when we were ¾ of the way through breakfast and cooked to a crisp. The second day it showed up with the food but it was cold. The third day it was just right. I am not making this up.

Breakfast all three mornings was good, especially the blueberry pancakes that were filled with blueberrys. The waitstaff was constantly kept busy taking and serving orders so coffee refills were few and far between. It seemed to us that the people who seat the customers and those who bus the dishes appear to be under utilized and spend a lot of time standing around. If, when they weren't busy doing their normal duties, they would each grab a coffee pot and keep the customers totally caffeinated, that would be a big help for the waitstaff and appreciated by thirsty customers.

We ate dinner here two nights. They have a good all you can eat soup and salad bar. The salad bar choices were wide-ranging, fresh and constantly tended. The soups offered change each night. All the soups were good but the Bison Chili scored big with us. If you like deer, bison or elk they had a something special being offered each night. The menu is varied so there is something for all appetites from full dinners, to sandwiches, to the salad bar. One evening for dessert we undid all our healthy eating with a brownie and ice cream sundae with chocolate and caramel sauce topped with whipped cream. It was worth every calorie. We have no problem recommending the Three Bears for either breakfast or dinner.

Cute location-appropriate décor. Good soup and salad bar which can be included with your dinner as the two "sides." Reasonably priced decent food. Warning: "broasted" chicken is neither broiled or roasted but deep-fried.

At supper here tonight and had no issues at all. My wife had the garlic & herb chicken and I had the pork chops. Both dishes were excellent and I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our meal (with a shared dessert) was around $40.00 pre-tip and was well worth it. Our server had a large table of about ten diners next to us but our service never suffered. She was attentive and friendly even while running her behind off.

Ate Breakfast here several times using my $3 discount card every day I got for staying at the Lodge. It makes breakfast really affordable and I never spent more than $10 including the tip. The choices are your basic selections. A couple of standouts where the Huckleberry Pancakes and the French Toast. Huge pancakes! The side of 6 slices of Bacon is a real deal. I also ate dinner here a couple of nights and would recommend the Buffalo Rib Eye and the Spaghetti with Marinara. The salad bar is very average. If Chile is on the soup bar go for it. It's excellent.

We wanted breakfast away from our hotel on our last day in West Yellowstone, so we found Three Bear. It was busy, smelled great, and looked great. Well, our waitress was not great. After sitting for 30 minutes waiting for our order (it's eggs! should take like 15 mins) and then watching her bring it out and give it to the table across from us, I thought, ok, she'll figure this out. Well, she came over and we told her she had given our order to the other table, she was confused but promised to have ours to us right away. We then sat for another 10 minutes watching the other table enjoy our breakfast (they did have to ask for bacon or something that we hadn't ordered) we watched in horror as she brought out and order for a table of 4 that had come in way after us! That's when we put money on the table for coffee and left. What a disappointment! The waitress was clearly overwhelmed and out of sorts. We had breakfast at a restaurant within walking distance, and it was served 15 mins after ordering.
