“Lots of better motels in the town”

We paid $188 for this sub standard room. It advertisers a grill, probably last used last summer and still not clean. The place is very run down. Go anywhere else. The town of West Yellowstone is great and friendly

It's a little noisy around the hotel, but for the price this place can't be beat. The rooms were clean and well maintained. We got the suite and had a full kitchen and living room. Our kids loved it and it is literally a minute from the gate to Yellowstone National Park. We will be staying here again in the future. We stayed in September 2013.

Room Tip: Get a suite, larger and more comfortable

We were hoping to stay at one of the lodges in Yellowstone NP but reservations finished 9/21 As our trip was last minute we didn't have a lot of choice it seemed - at least under $200. This was our most expensive motel of the trip ($160) but not the best.
Our room had just been renovated but I'm not sure if it was quite finished. The wood trim had paint drips all over, hopefully they will get properly painted or cleaned up. The carpet was new and so there was a strong smell from that. Luckily neither husband or self were overly sensitive to it however I'd suggest to management to air the rooms as much as possible. It was clean and the bed was comfortable however the sheets were thin and 3 pillows on a king bed was skimpy. I had to use the spare blanket so we could sit up to watch TV/read. Lighting was not too good and no light in the (closet) area where you unpack your case. It would have been nice to switch off the bed lights without having to resort to getting out of bed. There was a fridge and coffee maker but only 1 package of creamer/sugar. Assume if I needed more I could have found some at reception although their hours were limited. The dresser drawers were in crooked, I attempted to pull them out to fix but they didn't want to budge so I gave up.
All in all it was not a dreadful stay. It is right at the entrance to the park so I assume most hotels in the area are able to command higher prices however if I was visiting again I would try for another place first.

We stayed here to experience our wonderful days at Yellowstone. However the rooms were grubby - carpet heavily stained and dirty. Room extremely small with the bed taking up most of the room. No frig, coffee station that was busted, no ice bucket, etc. As we were out most of the day at Yellowstone and returned 9 pm, the reception area was closed and nobody responded to phone calls. So we could not ask or get basic items - replacement soaps, fresh towels, etc. The one interaction when checking in - surly check-in attendant not happy to be there or to respond to any questions. No restaurant at lodge - have to drive in the morning to get wake-up coffee!

We stayed in this motel during the weekend before labor day, because all others are full. The hotel is a little old. It was not that terrible in our room, has the basic. The price was $150 but was the cheapest in that holyday.

Nothing worked in this hotel room, including the desk clerk! She was so hostile and scattered, she refused to give us a receipt because we had booked on line, she then began yelling at us that we were harassing her because we simply asked her for a receipt. The TV didn't work, when we asked about it, she shrugged and said it hadn't worked all season, too bad. She also screamed at us that she had been working 10 hour days for months. The room was extremely over priced at $160, for only $20 more we could have stayed at the Days Inn with friendly help, a TV that worked and a CLEAN room. Don't stay here without the bug bomb handy.

This was the WORST place we stayed on our 2 week road trip to Yellowstone !! The beds were stained, the shower falling apart, the ceiling fixtures exposed, the coffee maker didnt work, the paint was peeling off the walls and to make matter worse, I felt I NEEDED a shower in the morning after sleeping in their bed, even though I took a shower the night before !
Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at ALL cost.

Room Tip: Go to another motel and be happier
