“Nice place. Nice value.”
Reviewed 3 October 2012

Three Bear Lodge was a good value for our family of 4. Somehow we got put in one of the themed rooms, but that was okay since it still had what we reserved (3 queen beds). Kids are 17 and 12, so there wasn't much appeal with the whole Goldilocks thing and the tiny toddler bed, but it was darling.

The whole unit was nice and large. The kids each had their own queen bed in the living room, and we had a queen bed in a separate bedroom (with a window, so it wasn't a dark room as some have complained). Beds were comfortable enough. There was a wall air conditioning unit in each room.

The bathroom was in the living room (not adjoining the bedroom) and was pretty good. There was an additional sink outside of it, which was really nice to speed up everyone getting ready. We had a microwave and mini fridge... always helpful. There was a closet next to the bathroom, and I think a big mirrored one in the living room.

We had a ton of stuff, so it was awkward carrying it through the lobby and up the stairs. We did request upstairs (and knew what we were in for) because we prefer not to hear people above us waking us up too early.

we appreciated the breakfast coupons and really enjoyed the breakfast at the Three Bear Lodge restaurant. In fact, it was the only breakfast we dined out during our 17 day trip! Portions were large and there were 4 pieces of toast instead of the normal 2 in other restaurants. It was kind of weird that the omelets do not include any toppings (how can they be "omelets" then?) We had to pay extra for each ingredient.

We stayed at the Three Bears in probably the penthouse, 218, one of the rooms with a front porch. We were there for eight days, ate most of the time in their restaurant, and took all three tours that they have. We loved everything! The room was spacious, internet was fine, and porch was an added bonus. If you have any trouble walking, it is upstairs with no elevator. The food we always found excellent; from the coffee to the bison ribeye steaks. The waitstaff was always friendly and efficient. The tours were outstanding! Laurie, Kim, and Melonie were fun and very knowledgeable. We couldn't have been happier with our trip to Yellowstone.

Room Tip: Our front room was large, quiet, and comfy.

Very economic and great places to stay. The rooms are nice and big and everything is kept pretty clean. The place gives you woody, rustic feeling which suits the nature of the environment. The West Entrance to YS is very close as well as the shops and market area. They also have nice rooms if you want to stay with bigger family and friends. The swimming pool etc were also thewre and well maintained. Overall a great place to stay!

Stayed for two nights early September. Rooms are allocated in blocks around the back of the lodge. Our room was very quiet, away from the main road. Rustic decor, basic with fridge and microwave. The shower was good and the towels soft and fluffy. Our main room overlooked the swimming pool which was closed, so we had a good nights sleep.
We ate two evening meals and two breakfasts in the lodge restaurant, all very enjoyable. Staff very friendly.
The lodge is ideally situated for local amenities, eateries, IMAX, museum.
Very enjoyable stay.

We stayed three nights in the lodge. Our room was clean and comfortable with a refrigerator and microwave. Room was large with king bed, chair, desk and flat screen TV. Bed and pillows were comfortalble with new sheets and blanket. Wi-Fi worked well. Air conditioner maintained the room temperature without being noisy. Windows opened to get a nice morning chill in the air!The lodge has some history that is explained on a flier that is interesting. Bathroom is very small, but well appointed, and clean with a nice shower. We were on the second floor so had to negotiate all the stairs (which we knew ahead of time). Our room was right outside the vending machine and ice machine and we did not hear any noise at all. The location is right outside the park and the facility is close to everything you need - restaurants, IMAX, museum, tourist shopping. Listen to the advice of Trip Advisor restaurant reviews and you won't be disappointed! The lodge section was fresh with a Yellowstone mountain decor, smelled clean and welcoming.

Room Tip: Make your reservations early so you get to pick main floor or 2nd floor!

Stayed here two nights. Aside from the laundry, we didn't make use of any of the place's amenities.

We had a room on the 1st floor of the newer lodge. It was quite sizable, clean and comfortable. However, the wi-fi was poor and some of the towels, but certainly not all, were very rough.

The lodge is on the main street to and from the park. The attractions and most anything you'd want in the town are within easy walking distance.

Would probably stay there again.
