Great place to stay and just a short distance (less than a mile) to the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Rooms were large and well decorated with a bear themes throughout. The restaurant next door was good as well.

We were there March 7/8/9 for a snow coach trip into Old Faithful. We were in the new lodge building, which was very nice with large rooms, with the hand made furniture. We had no complaints about anything. We ate breakfast in their restaurant 2 times and they were not hot. We had one evening meal and it was very good.
We enjoyed our stay. The clerks were very friendly and accommodating. The ac/heater was of the newest style that I have seen in motels. I would go there again!

Room Tip: We were in room 413 I believe, over the lobby facing over the street. We had good free WiFi also.

We stayed here in Feb.2013.Came from Saskatchewan Canada and was very pleased when we got there.Drove 15 hours,so your always a little tentative of what it's gonna be like when ya get there.Everything was so convenient.Ground floor rooms 15 steps from the hottub,as we were there for Snowmobiling(nice).Restaurant attached along with lounge in between.Snowmobile rental in same parking lot as the hotel lodge,so was so nice and convenient. We parked our sleds right outside our room window.Excellent food choices. We went with a package deal with skidoo rentals, meals, rooms, snowcoach, and guides,so was very reasonable.Rooms were awesome, very spacious for all your luggage and snowmobile equipment

Room Tip: Ground floor.....next to the hottubs

For what it was, it was great and with that being said, I would stay here again. For the area, I give it a 4-rating.

I think we had a room in the non-renovated part of the hotel, room 410. The room was clean and very comfortable. My complaints about the room were that the heater was very loud and therefore annoying. Also, the TV had terrible reception, not that we were in Yellowstone to sit in our room to watch TV, but as we were unwinding, it would have been nice to have had a clear reception.

The hot tub was a total perk after a full day in the snow and cold and I loved how they maintained the hotel and even had a display of how they re-used the old materials of a building with such history and character.

It was a great 2-night stay and we would stay here again.

Although our room was initially cold this was soon remedied. Some rooms are larger than others so it is worth checking this when you make a reservation. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Two small hot tubs on site although the main outdoor pool is not usable in the winter.
Good access to snowmobiling across the car park, where we were well looked after and had a great day out with Raya Steele. We would recommend the snowmobiles over the snow coach as it was great fun.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the larger rooms.
