I am very picky with hotels. In this day and age of bed bugs and God knows what else, I am ok being fussy. If my husband didn't insist, I wouldn't have stayed here at first glance. Here is the goods and the bads.......
*Location. In the heart of West Yellowstone surrounded by stores, tourist traps and restaurants. You also are seconds from the park entrance.
*Service was quick and friendly.
* Room itself was adequate. Room was clean and the bed did not have bugs.
* We must have been in the old section I keep hearing about. We had an alley outside our door. It did not feel safe.
*The pool was in a different building, so after you were wet, you had to run through the outdoors in the alley to get to your room. Not fun in 30 degree weather (and this was in Sept.)
*There was a screened in area that "protected" our door from the alley and that door to this screened in area slammed all night. They need a door that has a hinge that closes softy.
Would I stay here again? Maybe, but I would request the new section I have read about. My husband says this place is as good as it gets for West Yellowstone. I guess to visit the amazing park again I would put up with the meh hotel.More
