My family and I stayed at the West Yellowstone Days Inn on our way into Yellowstone! It was perfect location for our trip. We stayed in the older section but it was fine beings we were only there to sleep. Kinda noisy, but that is not the hotels fault. Staff was nice and accomodating and helped us in figuring out the attractions and directions to get there! We had a great time! Our children LOVED the waterslide!! They also recommended going to the Grizzley and Wolf Discovery Center and that was Cool, the kids loved it! We ate at a local Pizza place and it was great food! We enjoyed our time in West Yellowstone!!

Got out of Yellowstone late, decided to stay at West Yellowstone. Have stayed at MANY Days Inns. Did not have a chance to check reviews, so trusted Days Inn. Wrong.! Staff was OK but the observations were something. Do you know they fill the OLD hotel first, then give rooms out to the new side? And the room was poor. Honestly, they could have slipped the decimal one point to the left, from $154.43 to $15.44. The Breakfast observations were hilarious. Walk in with your ticket, they take your name and you wait outside, they call you in, and within mere minutes your breakfast #1 arrives (obviously pre-made). Here is the hilarious part. There were 7 free tables, count them 7 tables empty when we signed up. All were clean, there were no less then three waitresses and waiter, and a guy busing!! We were not the only ones who noticed the obvious. Don't waste your time. This place is just a poor place to stay.

I read some of the reviews here and have to wonder if this is the same hotel I stayed in. I stay here every year for the past 5 years and have never had anything but a positive experience. The staff has always been friendly and the hotel is clean and I'm a clean freak.

We always have at lease 3 rooms and never has anyone in our group complained about this hotel.

I wonder if some of these post are from real people that stayed here or maybe these people have other motives.

We stayed at the Days Inn West Yellowstone for one night after driving through Yellowstone. While waiting to check in we overheard the people in line ahead of us being told their reservation was not in the system and another group was told the computer had their room "blocked" so the clerk couldn't tell if it was available or not. We started to worry that our reservation for two rooms would also be "lost". Luckily after a 10 minute wait we checked in and were directed to our rooms.
We were shocked at what we found. The portion of the hotel we were directed to is basically an old motel with a hallway built where the outdoor sidewalk used to be. The hallway was extremely hot due to the A/Cs from all the rooms were blowing hot air out. The rooms themselves were clean but not nearly as nice as the photos on the hotel's site. It was much darker and gloomier feeling. One of our doors had to be slammed repeatedly just to get it to shut and lock properly. Also, the toilet wobbled everytime you used it.
Skip the hotel restaurant's breakfast. The "free breakfast" ends up costing more than it is worth after you factor in beverage, tax and tip.

The front desk staff started this stay wrong. Being greeted with a "Ya?" and not a "Hi there can I help you?" Or "welcome, checking in with a reservation?". And each time I had a question it seemed like I was bothering them. One guy even came out with a slice of pizza in one hand while helping a customer. Very unprofessional. This hotel wasn't worth the $200 we had to pay because we stayed during peak season.

After a full day of travel from Billings, Montana, seeing the sights in Yellowstone this hotel was everything that we had expected. It was close to the Park entrance, close to the nightlife of the town, clean and spacious. The reservation and check-in went smoothly. We had a jacuzzi room and everything in the room was as expected. The room and hallway was a bit warm, but I suspect that it was due to the nearby indoor heated pool. We requested a room away from traffic and noise and our room was next to the elevator, ice machine, and stairway...but we were never bothered by noise by our two day stay. Our free breakfast included hash browns, two eggs, two toast and a huge piece of ham, or 4 sausage or bacon.

This hotel was the highest rated hotel in the price range that we had budgeted for. We were not disappointed.
