Attraction details
Owner description: Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

“Summer / Winter, it's all good !”
Reviewed 16 August 2014

Many years ago when I had better ski legs a group of buddies and I from BC and Alberta would meet at Whitefish for a long weekend of great skiing and ever better night life. Turn the clock ahead........how in my 60's, the ski legs are gone but I've discovered that Whitefish in the summer has soooo much to offer. This is our 4th time spending a week in summer I Whitefish. We stay at Whitefish Mountain Resort and thoroughly enjoy our stay. Our annual repeat activities include hiking the Danny On trail to the top of the hill, renting bikes and taking different in different routes around Whitefish Lake, Kalispell, and Columbia Falls. For a really good workout, ride from town up to the resort. Great exercise. The resort itself provides great views of the Whitefish lake valley, is quiet at night and provides great access to so many summer time activities. We'll be returning.

“Outstanding Tram Ride”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

All of the people servicing the rides were nice and polite. There are many activities here for younger people. As we are seniors, the only activity we did, was the Tram ride. For about $8 each we took the tram to the top and spend some time on the top of the mountain viewing the surroundings. Also when you take the Tram be sure to take the CHAIRS and not the GONDOLA. The price is the same but the Chair lift is way more fun as you are out in the fresh air and it might look scary but it really is not. A great value and fun and beautiful.

“Whitefish Mountain Resort Zip Line Tour”
Reviewed 14 August 2014

Spent a couple of days in the Whitefish, MT area before heading to Glacier for our summer vacation. We ended up booking the seven zip line tour at Whitefish Mountain Resort, and it was an absolute blast! We had four kids with us, ages 12 to 7, and they loved it as well. The scenery is spectacular, and the zip lining was awesome! There is a five zip line option, but the other two are worth every penny. The staff and guides were all friendly and fun, and I would highly recommend this experience to anyone that likes a little adventure.

“Summer on the slopes - Hike the Danny Ho trail”
Reviewed 11 August 2014

Whitefish ski resort is bustling in the summer! Something for all ages. The little kids played on a looong slide down the mountain. All ages were on mountain bikes and all over the place.

We took the gondola up to the top (they will also carry your bikes up) and then hiked down the Danny Ho trail. My parents rode up with us, sat at the lodge and ate and drank and then rode the gondola back down. The trail had different topogrpahy and you still got a in a good workout as there are upward sloping parts. If you are already adjusted to the altitude and a medium hiker then you can hike up and down!
