We came to Whitefish for our 4th visit, but our first at The Garden Wall Inn. It won't be our last. Rhonda and Chris are superb hosts, we felt like old friends, both were full of tips about local sites and resources, professional, bright, comfortable, great conversationalists. Rhonda's gourmet breakfasts were the absolute best. And the staff: our rooms were impeccablly done, roses on the end table, everything crisp and beautiful. If you go to Whitefish, try to get a room at this wonderful place.

What a nice change....no TV in the Inn!!! We were a little taken aback by that (never bothered to ask), but what a pleasant surprise. Pretty much have to either stay in your room or go downstairs and socialize with the other guests in the evening, which we chose to do. We had such a good time chatting with the other guests (until very late in the evening) ~ the time just flew by. Room was very clean with the towels changed every day. Talking with Chris and Rhonda was just delightful....what nice people they are. And, both are professionally trained chefs so the breakfasts were quite marvelous and beautifully presented. Spokane Ave. is a busy street, so it was rather noisy with quite a bit of traffic. Unfortunately, didn't get to visit Whitefish as we spent all our time in Glacier.

Chris gave us many great suggestions on what to see at Glacier NP...his father is a ranger there, so he was a wealth of great information. Actually, we talked to his dad at the infomation center and also on the GTTSR which was not open all the way due to the amount of snow this year.

We loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to enjoy the Bed & Breakfast experience.

I am not a huge fan of B&B's, but this one is terrific. The decor is Victorian --not my style, but so well done I had to appreciate it. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice, with a fantastic tub, luxurious towels and high end products. There were also nice touches like beautiful fresh flowers on the nightstand and in the bathroom. The best part is that the owner was so nice and, even though I had to leave at 4 a.m., left me a fabulous breakfast of homemade muffins and a bounty of fresh fruit.
The inn is an easy walk into town and a lovely retreat. For the money, it was a much better deal than the large hotel I stayed out a little further out of town. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful restored home. The two owners are chef trained, breakfast was wonderful. Chris grew up in this area and is a wealth of information. Very helpful. He was also very warm, friendly, welcoming. The room was nice, bed was great, and the nighttime chocolates were a nice touch. Loved the evening happy hour and visiting with Chris. This home is also in a great location - right in the town, so walking anywhere is nice. We love Whitefish!

We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary that month and I wanted to stay somewhere special for the 2 nights we had at Glacier NP. I came upon The Garden Wall Inn and immediately liked it. The day we arrived we were met at the door by Chris the Inn keeper. A very nice man, gentleman I should say in every way. Well spoken, well informed, curtious, smiling. What more do you want. We were shown to our beautiful bedroom with the most lovely bathroom with lace curtains and a small dressing room on the other side. In the lounge the log fire was burning, making it very cosy and comfortable. We were given a glass of wine and a selection of snacks was available, too. I immediately decided we wanted to stay an extra night, which to our delight was possible. Chris made dinner arrangements for us in Whitefish and we had a great meal. When we retired we found two chocolates with a little note 'sweet dreams'. We slept very well in the comfortable bed. The next morning we had were woken by Chris with a tray on which blue china with very good coffee and a little vase with a rose. A very delicious breakfast, all freshly and lovingly prepared was waiting for us downstairs. Chris gave us good directions after breakfast for a lovely day out which we enjoyed tremendously. When Chris and Rhonda found out it was our 25th anniversary - coincidentally there was a couple on honeymoon and a 50th anniversary as well - we received a small bottle of champagne and Chris made a photograph while we toasted on the next 25. It was a beautiful touch!
All in all, we had a marvelous 3 days at this beautiful Inn and would go back instantly were it not for the fact that we will probably - coming from Europe - never get to that corner of the world again. I can recommend this B&B to anyone who likes a little luxury and attention for detail. Thank you so much Chris and Rhonda!

This Inn is a stop worth going out of your way for. They advertise "gourmet breakfast" which is an understatement. The proprietors and staff are all friendly, knowledgeable and clearly want you to enjoy your stay. Rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Less than two blocks from the downtown area and maybe four from the train station. It is the perfect place to stay in Whitefish which itself is a great place to visit. Great restaurants, shops and very friendly, genuine people. Not far from Clacier National Park.
