Great B&B option in Whitefish. Very convenient walk to town. Excellent access to restaurants and jogging trail. As other customers have stated Chris and Rhonda have developed a great B&B model focusing on personal service and a gourmet breakfast. French pressed coffee delivered to your room 30 minutes prior to breakfast .... what more can I say.
I will take exception to several reviewers’ comments with regard to the Garden Wall's physical location. The front of the Inn is located on highway 93. Over the years this road has become a major north/south though fare running through Whitefish. Road noise caused by the large volume of traffic passing in front of the Inn is noticeable. Several guests that had rooms on the front side of the Inn mentioned this to me.
Overall if you are looking for a B&B experience in Whitefish, Mt. the Garden Wall would be a good choice.

Garden Wall is truly exceptional. Combining a beautiful facility, exquisitely appointed, with outstanding service and "perfect" food (I'm serious!), Chris and Rhonda have created a facility that defines a truly remarkable B&B. Located just a couple blocks from Whitefish' center the B&B is on a quiet, storybook street and is in perfectly preserved condition. Chris is the full time host and expert for all things Montana which he'll share with you during a lovely wine and appetizer hours in late afternoon. Rhonda is the chef (Chris too) and the breakfasts were the best I've ever had in a B&B. Both Chris and Rhonda are professionally trained chefs and created 3 completely different food experiences during our visit. It doesn't get any better than this!!

Room Tip: Our group rented all four rooms and all were pleased.

I have traveled extensively over the past three decades and this is the best b&b I have ever stayed in. It is not just the gorgeous rooms, the amazing breakfasts, the commitment to locally produced food, the great location, and the meticulous attention to detail, right down to locally made chocolates commissioned especially for the Inn and the beautiful arrangements of flowers from their own garden. At the heart of it there is Chris, the most wonderful host you could ask for, who knows the area like the back of his hand, and Rhonda who has done so much for the community of Whitefish. I've stayed there twice, visiting family and Glacier National Park. The second time my husband and I traveled by train, walking from the fabulous restored train station in Whitefish to the inn just a few blocks away. Even though those trips were in 2008 and 2009, my mind wanders to the Garden Wall surprisingly often, wondering how Chris is doing, and what's being served for breakfast that day,

Room Tip: We went in the fall, a nice time to visit the park since there are much fewer tourists.

We were part of a group of eight friends, gathered to celebrate a special birthday as we explored Glacier.
This is a charming Colonial Revival home with meticulous attention to detail. Most congenial hosts. Chris shares his personal knowledge and love of the Park. Interesting food and presentation.

Stayed one night at the Garden Wall Inn after three nights of backcountry camping, and couldn't have been happier. The Inn is a beautifully restored 1920s home with only five rooms, decorated with period furniture, wallpaper, and photos, and feels cozy, homey, and upscale all at the same time. It's all the little special touches that the hosts do that make this place worth every penny--afternoon sherry or other drinks with light snacks, superb breakfast made with local ingredients, and heaps of information about the surrounding area. The location, a 5-min walk to "downtown", is also fantastic. I'd return in an instant!
