Likes: the food was tasty, when it finally arrived
Dislikes: It took an incredibly long time to get our food/food orders for both breakfast and lunch. When I say incredibly I mean well over an hour, with two young, hungry kids that actually feels like 2+ hours!

Our family of 6 dined there the other evening. The service was quite slow and it took time to get drinks and appetizers. Our waiter was a little arrogant about some things. Our dinners, by the time they finally came out were not as expected. Portions were rather small and 2 of the steak dinners that were ordered "rare" had to be returned twice and even on third time of delivery, still too well done. They did comp our dinners but we left there hungry and dissatisfied. The ambience was very nice and the views of the lake are beautiful, but they could greatly improve the dinner experience.

We waited over 30min. for them to take our orders. After placing our order and waiting 45 min which they keep saying it was coming out we where told that they where out of what 3 of us ordered. It then took an additional 30 min. to get our diner. The food was very good but small portions and over priced. There is better places in Whitefish to eat They where not busy that night and look to have plenty of help (who was standing around talking). We had a party of 7 and arrived at 7:30 and did not get out until 10:00pm. Will not go there again.

It's not really worth eating off of the dining room menu - the prices are steep and the food is closer to hotel food than upscale dining. The patio is delightful in season and the burgers are very good (said my meat-eating friends). The Moscow mule is good as are the boat chips though the portion has shrunk since I was here last (though the price has not). Our service was mediocre at best - friendly but not totally responsive (my water was never refilled). Overall a relatively good dining experience with great scenery.
