Who says you have to wait to eat dessert? This was our second time to Sweet Peaks for the Huckleberry ice cream. Definitely a treat!

So you're walking around, looking for a refreshment after swimming in the Lake or dessert after a great meal in Downtown Whitefish. Go to Sweet Peaks for ice cream and you won't be disappointed. We've been to this one and the one in Kalispell. I think the service in Whitefish is better.

This is one of those places that sticks to what it knows, and does it well. The shop is small, worn down from foot traffic with signs of spilt ice cream here and there, along with some old tables. Residual artifacts from Mom and Dad handing there child their first ice-cream. Only moments later to watch it go splat from giggles of excitement.

So walk in, get on line, and study the flavor board. Then hover over the glass to confirm your selection. The cones are made there on site. The ice-cream is locally made, and they even have a flavor for your pet(s). Instead of focusing on the shop decor they focus on the ice-cream. Usually served by a local dilligent youngster trying to figure out there future carrier path. So be nice, have patience, and enjoy.

Stop in after a meal or a quick snack if just exploring the town. It is a a short pleasant walk for a nice treat.

Oh before I forget to mention it: yes, it is good! But that is clear from other post.

I was less than impressed with the flavors of my double dip - salted caramel - barely tasted either flavor, and chocolate - not that rich deep chocolate flavor that lasts in your mouth although it looked nice and dark.

Maybe specific flavors are great??? They did have some specialty flavors - did not tempt me.

For all the hype here and around town this won't be a place I return to.

Service was good - the girls were really moving to serve a long line of people!

We enjoyed this ice cream shop so much we went twice in a week! They are open everyday and have some interesting specialty ice creams. I would definitely recommend the Huckleberry!
