“Food and Service Great. Atmosphere So-So.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

During our vacation in Whitefish, we ate here twice for dinner. The new owner took great care of us, was friendly, prompt. Food did not disappoint. I can't figure out why it wasn't busier...perhaps the atmosphere in the front room...? Feels a little boring. I saw others on TripAdvisor didn't like the service - we didn't have that problem.

“Great service, excellent food”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

My husband and I only wanted a burger for dinner after a long day of sight seeing. We showed up at the restaurant about 5-10 minutes before the dinner hour, which appeared to upgrade their menu. We were greeted by the friendly bartender who seated us in the outdoor patio, exactly where we wanted to sit. We enjoyed a beer selection from the local brewery and a great burger meal. The weather was perfect, Whitefish is a friendly tourist town, and Cooper's restaurant a great place to stop. My husband and I recommend it to any travelers in the area.

“CHOWDER CHECK - opps!!!! New Owner”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

We loved Coopers, and we especially loved the "clam chowder" on Fridays. It was (note, I said "was") a regular Friday night destination for us. They have a new owner. Right off the bat, it took 17 minutes for a waitress to show-up at our table, and then only after I spoke up. The clam chowder went from the "best" in the Flathead Valley to "just average." Very disappointing! The "baseball cut sirloin" is and was excellent.... perfectly prepared... excellent flavor. Not so with the "fish and chips" which we tried at the urging of the waitress. They now hand-dip the fish fillets, but, quite frankly, there was so much thick breading on them you couldn't taste the fish. Had "apple strudel" for dessert, but they warmed it in the microwave so it was very leathery. It could have been and excellent dessert. We are really disappointed and hope the new owner(s) get their act together.

“Good food and nice setting”
Reviewed 9 July 2014

Stopped in here our first night in Whitefish (6/23), not really knowing where to go yet. It looked appealing from the street.

The staff was very friendly, and the food very tasty.

We sat on the patio in back, and enjoyed a very pleasant evening and dinner.

Did not get the chance to visit a second time, but would definitely try them again.

“Couldn't get seated”
Reviewed 7 July 2014 via mobile

While we were in Whitefish we wanted to grab a bite late Sat afternoon, which turned out to be more complicated. Went to two locations Loulas and buffalo cafe and both closed at 3pm. Really for a resort town in the summer? Then we tried Coopers, the door was open but it took a while before the bartender acknowledged us and then she promptly walked away. Waited for a few moments and left. If I could give it a zero for customer service I would.
