“Nice Place”
Reviewed 12 August 2012

We stayed in a room on the back, overlooking the river. The room was nice, clean. The view out the back was fantastic. In a deluxe room, we had a giant balcony. The pool is nice. Not too much chlorine. Very clean. Front desk staff were very helpful. It's 5 blocks to downtown, an easy 10 minute walk. We'd stay again.

For the price ($150 for a Sunday night), I would have expected a little more. But the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and we had a couch, as well as a roomy balcony overlooking the pool and Whitefish River. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's one street over and four blocks from downtown Whitefish - an easy walk, even in hot weather. Breakfast was the usual: bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal.

Granted I stayed here a few years back, so take my review with that in mind. We found the Pine Lodge an very good to excellent value whiles staying in Whitefish, MT.

Rooms were clean, front desk was knowledgeable and very helpful with restaurant recommendations. Location was convenient to town.

The pool is both indoor and outdoor and there is a "tunnel" between them. Makes for a little fun. Honors AAA discount making it very affordable lodging. I beleive it has a breakfast included, making it even more of a bargain.

Location was convenient. Staff was helpful. We stayed on a weeknight and the rate was good. The indoor outdoor pool and hot tub was great or our granddaughter. Would stay again.

A very nice comfortable hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The balcony overlooking the river was very nice but it sits right next to the next door balcony so you are very close together with little privacy. The heated all-season indoor/outdoor pool was the best feature. There is a deck outside but it was snowing in May so I used the indoor tables. The outdoor hot tub was excellent even in bad weather. The breakfast was standard but very good and the service was very good. I was warned that the breakfast closes "exactly on time". They are located a little bit outside of the town center. A fireplace and free internet station in the lobby were additional nice features. There is a laundry room but I chose to do my laundry at the nearby "Pin and Cue" restaurant/bar/bowling alley/pool hall/laundrymat for some local flavor. The check in and out were fast and painless. A good choice though priced slightly higher than some other options.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a balcony and table facing the river.

I wnet back for a second stay - hoped I was wrong or it was just a bad day on the 1st vsit WRONG. Dump may be an overstatement but when enters a dump one gets what one asks and pays for. This according to some contributers of late is a "great place". They must be shareholders or owners or very close freinds or just travellers with little experience of what is a "clean " hall and breakfast table and area. But I always give a second chance - never a third.
