This is my third trip here based on two very positive previous visits. We have always booked the best available rate with ski package and not had any issues. We booked two months ago and arrived after a five hour drive and border crossing. When we checked in we were given room 349. I wish I had checked trip advisor previously because it is apparently the guests responsibility to be knowledgable of a terrible room configuration and location. The in-room hallway has more living space than the area with the bed. To top it off it's very noisy given its proximity to the road. The gravy was the slanted TV, this can be fixed however. When I went to the front desk I was told there was only one other room available for our length of stay/package. Thankfully we were able to move - for a price increase of course! Not very impressed. When making the reservation guests should be informed about this room. I could've changed my reservation before I was at the mercy of the revenue manager and hotel occupancy. Signed Unhappy DOS.

Our room was fantastic, lots of room to spread about, chairs to relax on and watch TV or the fireplace. The restaurant was awesome. Hot tub was fun. We also enjoyed the exercise room which had some great weights and machines to use.

but I'll try...haha
My boyfriend's mom took me there during christmas holidays for a spa weekend and another time during a ladies weekend. The lodge itself is comforting and beautiful. There is a fireplace outside near the front doors and a huge one when you walk in. The restaurant has a view of the pool and the lake...BREATHTAKING !! The chandeliers within the lobby going to towards the restaurant also add to the relaxed ambiance of the place. Our room had a kitchen with dark wood, a huge bathtub and shower, double sinks, big comfortable beds and two chairs facing a fireplace and a television. A home away from home :)
The spa is a surprise! When you first walk in, its very small and constricted in the lobby but the services are to die for! We tried a different spa the second time we went there because the lodge's spa was booked (we went with probably 50 women) and it did not compare at all! I highly recommend the lodge spa!
Also, I heard it was featured on an episode of the Bachelorette...which is pretty cool haha.

We travel with a group of 8-10 adults to Whitefish and this was our first stay at the lodge. We stayed in a combination of lodge rooms and condominium. The 3br condo was really nice with tons of space. The website photos did not do it justice at all. Much nicer than we expected. We bought a ski package that included lift tickets and breakfast. We have stayed at other whitefish properties and this was by far the best value. A little more expensive but well worth it. I am sure it is more expensive in the summer. Food was good. Bar area was good as well with live music. Transportation to the mountain and downtown is a big plus. we will be back.

The Lodge is a fairly high end year-round resort, and the value generally matches the price. Food is excellent and well-presented - full breakfasts are large portions with a slightly western flare - very tasty. Definitely try the house benedict - thick slabs of ham, perfectly poached eggs with a special hollandaise sauce. (Warning! The apple cider-cooked oatmeal is too much - more than enough for two!) We had a standard king room with lots of space, a gas fireplace, and large bathroom. The hotel atmosphere is rustic western, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the outdoor hot tub is great after a day on the slopes.

Room Tip: Lakeside rooms are quieter.

Stayed here last year, and made reservation for same type room for this year. Arrived, and they sent me to a room the size of a closet, overlooking a busy highway. I went to the front desk, and they were all too happy to move me, for significant upcharge...and this while they have a 30% occupancy. Very rude front desk worker, and the manager was unbelievably unfriendly. All plans to eat and enjoy the spa (all in addition to room rate) are now off the table...these money hungry people shall get nothing more than the minimium, and they are not even providing service to match that. Just be careful.

Room Tip: I am on the 3rd floor...no balcony, no view, very loud road noise. They carefully conceal the "...
