If you want a truly wonderful dining experience in a small tourist town, head a mile outside downtown Whitefish to the Whitefish Golf Course Restaurant. My husband had rack lamb and I opted for the filo encrusted Alaskan haddock. Both done to perfection and served with salad and al dente veggies. Portions are generous. Entries range in price from $24-35. The cheesecake in huckleberry sauce was topped with an orchid! Not pretentious. Some diners wore shorts .Our server,Kathryn was top notch and the manager,Eric, made sure all ran smoothly. The log building is authentic Montana from 1929.
