Description: The lights are low, the music is turned up, wine is flowing, and the energy is buzzing in the air. It’s a perfect evening and the perfect setting for…Italian food at MAMBO’S. With creative twists on classic recipes there is something for everyone in the family. It’s Italian Nachos, Minestrone, Lasagne, Tiramisu, Chianti, Frank Sinatra, Great Fun, Wonderful Service and a whole lot more… Ciao Mambo atmosphere works just as well for romantic couples as it does for a cozy table of family, friends and children too.At Mambo’s, we serve up immigrant style Southern Italian cuisine in a happening family ambiance. Our pasta dishes with rich, savory sauces and fresh ingredients, thin crust pizzas baked to perfection, and unmatchable service will keep you coming back for more. If the atmosphere and friendly service don't seduce you, the pasta will. Bring your friends, family and appetite for fun, and we'll handle the rest. Come on in, your table is waiting!

Seems to have short hours like 5-9. Would only take reservations for over 6-8 people. We went at 5:30 2 of us and got in right away, although it filled up fast. All our menu items were delicious and our server was so sweet and knowledgable. Interior is very warm and welcoming. We will return forsure.

We are regulars dining out in Whitefish. Ciao has never been a favorite because they do not take reservations. My idea of a night out is not standing in line waiting for 45 minutes.
Last night however the place was quite, about half full down stairs. We had a couple of appetizers and the backed polenta was a pleasant surprise. Crunchy crust with a great well seasoned tomato sauce.
My wife had a pasta dish and I had the saltimbocca with chicken. Both were well seasoned with a good taste however the chicken was way overcooked and dry. With the pleasant sauce it still was good.
2 major complaints:
When the menus were delivered to the table they were disgusting, dirty and torn in numerous places. They seem to be a potential health issue. Why is it this place can stock $130 bottles of wine (we ended up with a very nice $50 bottle) and they cannot go to a printer and get some new menus?
The portion size, huge huge huge. There was enough food delivered for the 2 of us to feed 4 people easily. This place is trying to grow and franchise this concept. They could do much better plating 1/3 less food and charging 15% less.
All in all a decent night out for typical Americanized Eyetalian food that has nothing to do with food from Italy.

This is one of the best meals we have had in an Italian Restaurant. The setting was great, service impeccable and meals were fantastic. A MUST DO!

After hearing reviews to try this place, we were incredibly disappointed. Fatty and greasy food, and watching the cooks sweat into the Pasta sauce is just not appealing. When we tried to talk to the manager he wanted no part of it and basically told us not to eat there again. Wow, customer service at it's finest. We won't be going back. With all the great restaurants in Whitefish with excellent service why eat here? The manager needs some lessons in customer service! The service is awful and the food mediocre at best.

After a long day of hiking in Glacier, my 17 year old was looking for something yummy, and his favorite thing is italian or greek. We went on line and found this spot. It is a small little hole in the wall kind of place, but the food is incredible and the portions are huge! We were made to feel welcome. Good music (a bit loud), kind of tight spacing (we don't mind, but some might), interesting serving staff (my 17 year old son loved it - skimmpy dressed young waitresses), and an overall good vibe. We had fried cheese balls for appetizers, carbannara, eggplant parm, italian nachos, and topped it all off with tiramisu. Had to bring back leftovers to hotel. Portions huge! Garlic bread...incredible! Great Chianti and Sangria. Definately a good time! Now...I think I will just lay down and try to digest it all!!
