We had been recommended this place by one of the other auberges that we had stayed in as a gastronomical experience. As we were going to be in the area we decided to call and make a reservation. We were told that the owners and chef of the restaurant were on vacation so there were no dinners served. Needless to say we were a little disappointed . We decided to book for the night anyway and were glad that we did. We booked the room "romantique". There was only one other couple there the night we stayed. We were very warmly welcomed by the parents of the owners and were able to take a look at all the rooms as they were not occupied. The rooms are all different and I do not think there is a bad room in the house.
The architecture of the house is very impressive. It reminds you of the Frank Lloyd Wright homes. Beautiful home with many unique details. The diningroom is very modern and inviting. Unfortunately we were not able to dine there but next time.
The father, Vincent, did make breakfast the next morning. A wonderful crepe filled with ham and cheese served with maple syrup. Delicious. Also fruit with yogurt and excellent coffee.
We so much enjoyed the tour of the house, great conversations and wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back.
