We have stayed at Three Gates Farm for our holidays over the past few years, and have sampled most of the accommodation on offer, in most seasons of the year. We use Three Gates as our base whilst visiting our son and his young family in Tiverton. It suits our needs perfectly. Having a young child themselves, Jonathan and Lynn understand the various needs of families with children, and they make freely available toys, books, a playroom and an excellent outside play area for children. The ducks and hens are also a great hit but the swimming pool is always the main attraction for the children and adults alike! Indeed it was this facility that first attracted us to Three Gates. The accommodation is always very clean and there is the welcome bonus of a Devon cream tea to greet you on arrival. The units are also very cleverly arranged so that they do not overlook one another thus enhancing the sense of privacy. Seldom can a series of farm buildings have been converted so sensitively. There is also lots of good information provided on things to do and places to visit in the locality. Devon offers so much in this respect. All in all a little haven set in the wonderful Devon countryside. What is there not to enjoy?

Three gates farm is by far one of the best holiday destination we have discovered. These cottages are like little hidden gems in Devon they are so beautiful and each one has it's own quirky charm. Having had a delightful cottage to stay in was fantastic but then we had the added bonus of an indoor swimming pool and sauna this was a hit for all of us . We travelled from London and after a long and weary journey with the kids and the dog we were welcomed by Jonathan and Lynn who layed on a wonderful cream tea on our arrival. This was a lovely unexpected gesture.
It didnt just stop there, I had mentioned to lynn when I had arrived that I felt in need of a massage the Next thing super quick lyn had organised a full body massage for me, I didnt even have to leave the cottage it all came to me it was brilliant so thank you so much this was very special.
Thank you both lynn and Jonathan for being fabulous hosts and very kind and accommodating we will be back most definitely. X

We all really loved our stay here (2 boys, one 2 years and one 4 years old)
The pool is really great and also perfectly heated. We were told before arrival that we could book swimming lessons, which we did and the teacher was very good. There is a nice little sauna and small but well equipped gym. The grounds are lovely and there is a lot of space to run around, including a play ground, a trampoline and ducks! Chickens also lay the eggs which you may be lucky enough to get for your breakfast!
Jonathan and Lynn are really lovely hosts and nothing is too much trouble. We had some wonderful recommendations for lunches and dinners out. Nice National Trust property down the road which we spent all day at.
We can't wait to go back!
The coast isn't too far - lots and lots to see and do, especially if you just want to sit and build sand castles.
Very relaxing environment, perfect accommodation and wonderful grounds and views.

Lovely location - well off the beaten track, but that's just what we wanted. Gorgeous cottages - well maintained and everything you'd wish for. Lovely swimming pool. Great hosts - did everything they could for us. Didn't want to go out or leave at the end of out stay! Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Depends upon the size of cottage you want - our was a 2 bed and was superb.

These cottages offer quality accommodation with a great indoor pool, sauna and gym. A perfect way to unwind in the British countryside. We visited from America and will definitely visit again. We are already recommending Three gates farm to friends and family. It is located within easy reach of the exmoor countryside and attractions. Thank you to the owners for making us feel welcome.
