We spent one night here in an RV site. We had no fire pit or grill for some reason, though other sites did. The sites are super close together, way too close for my taste. Bathrooms were clean, but small. Check in was challenging due to our reservation being made by another family member with a different credit card, and the employees had a very hard time switching it to my card. When I mentioned the switch had been done at another KOA a few days prior without issue, I received a snippy response. Fine for a night, but I wouldn't want to stay there any longer.

We stayed in a deluxe cabin with a mini fridge, microwave, TV/DVD player, double bed, bunk, and shower/bathroom. It was comfortable and met our needs. We swam; used the mini zip line, jumping
pillow, and park; and bought pizza from the cafe. All in great condition. Staff were polite.

Most camper sites had a paved area or decks with picnic tables. They were even adding more patio areas to sites as we were there.

We were a little leery about staying at a KOA cabin from an experience we had in Sturgis, SD. However, we were very pleased with the West Omaha KOA! We would stay there again.

Note: If you bring pets, you cannot leave the pets unattended in the cabins while you are out sightseeing. This is the only drawback.

Also, you need to pay to use the bikes. Otherwise, the cost of everything was included during the week we were here.

We stayed in one of the Deluxe cabins. It was very much like what you see on the Tiny Homes episodes on HGTV. Our Cabin was #12. It was set away from all of the other cabins.

Kitchen - had a two burner stove (which you can only really use one burner on at a time), no oven, full size fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and double sink. The kitchen was stocked with some utensils and dishes. Be aware there was only one serrated knife to cutting food. No steak knives if you plan on grilling. It seemed like every meal we made we had to try to reuse the same dishes over again or use utensils outside of their normal use, for example cutting a steak with a butter knife or using a pot as a mixing bowl. I would say play it safe and bring what you can. Don't expect everything you need to cook to be there.

Beds - There was one room with a tv. We were able to squeeze our son's pack n play in there with us, however you had to crawl over the bed to get around it. Bed was very comfortable. Make sure you bring sheets, as these are not provided. I'd say it was probably a full size bed. In the loft there are two sleeping mats, not mattresses. They are probably 3 or 4 inches thick. Again, bring your own linens. In the loft the ceiling gets up to about 3.5 feet or so high so its good for kids to sleep in, but it can get hot up there. There was also a small room with a bunk in it with two beds, same sleeping mats as the loft has. Sofa also pulls out if you need it, but it will take up the entire living room and kitchen area.

Bathroom - Small but works for what you need it for. Shower actually has a small shallow tub, so perfect for bathing my toddler.

Outside - We stayed in Cabin 12, so there was no real grass area for us. We had a nice deck with a table and four chairs and a grill. Off the deck was the patio that has the fire pit on it. There are two very nice Adirondack chairs provided, but you will want to bring your own chairs if you'll need more seating. We were able to sit about 6 people around the fire on the deck one night. The patio is backed up on to a small incline of tall prairie like grass, which got buggy at night. Otherwise you are on the gravel road for the campground. Like I said, no real grass for kids to play in at the cabin. A lot of time the kids played in the gravel road as we were off in the back so there was minimum traffic.

Campground amenities - It seems like they have a lot of great ideas, but fail on delivery. The jumping pillow was a lot of fun for the kids, but the first couple days the water was pooled up on three sides so they couldn't really get on or off without getting wet. By the third day they had filled in two of those sides so only one side had a water issue. The basketball court is a half court with older cement. Bring your own ball. There was tether ball. A very old playground set and a cement tunnel. There was also a zipline which the kids had a lot of fun on. It starts about 8 or 9 feet off the ground and there is a seat for the kids to sit on and go down. They can jump off at the end and bring the seat back for the next child. The pool surprisingly got as deep as 9 feet which was great. The pool isn't very large, so the 3 - 4ft area wasn't very big and got crowded quickly with children. There was also a sand volleyball court with a ball provided, horseshoes, and some kind of corral game. They also have a mini golf course that was very tired and worn out. Definitely needs some up keep. Same with the K9 park. There were two items in the fenced area. Not as exciting as it looked on their site. They offer lots of different activities on the weekend as well, but everything sounded great and ended up being sort of lame for the kids. For example, the scavenger hunt where you had to find items around the campground. Then after completing they got a jolly rancher.

Overall, like others said, this place was crowded. Not much extra space for activities. We've stayed at a lot of different cabins and campgrounds and this one falls pretty far down the list. Not terrible by any means, but we wouldn't go back.

This campground had the usual amenities for Koa. I only wish it wasn't so close to a busy road. The staff were nice. I am not sure why it was more money than most Koa's. I enjoy the chance to have pizza delivered to my campsite. The playground there has a cool terror-totter airplane.

We rented one of the little cabins over Memorial Day weekend. We ran into traffic through Iowa and someone from the KOA called to check on us to see when we thought we would be arriving. We were able to arrange a late check in. All the people who work here are extremely nice. The cabin was the normal basic cabin that you would rent at any KOA. This cabin had a small TV that is not always included at other KOAs. The location of the cabin allowed us to use the wifi without a problem. The location was also nice for us because we have kids and it was across from the bathrooms, and all the activities. Our kids loved the zip line and jumping pillow. The location was about 30 minutes from anything that we wanted to do in Omaha. We will be back.
