“Delightful!”
Reviewed 2 April 2012

A truly delightful B & B which, for me, is praise indeed as often feel uncomfortable staying in other people's homes & tend to prefer hotels. But when David said 'Treat this place as your home' for the 3 nights we were there, that's exactly how it felt. Both he & Sally were so welcoming & friendly but not at all intrusive. The room was charming, warm, flowers, chocs, snacks & fruit, facilities for drinks, comfortable beds, excellent shower & everywhere fresh & clean (towels changed every day). We were also able to sit out on the verandah if we wanted which was a bonus. Then the marvellous breakfasts.......fruit, yoghurt, cereals, honey, hot strong coffee, fruit juice, eggs, cheese, mushrooms, bacon......in fact, anything you might want, on our last morning we had smoked salmon & scrambled eggs (cooked to perfection) on bagels.....no need for lunch! A great location for seeing Kent, a beautiful house with lovely views & delightful hosts. Just a very relaxed laid back atmosphere which I cannot recommend too highly.

As a family of 3 we stayed for 11 nights. We had 2 rooms of very high standard. The breakfast was exceptional - always fresh fruits. Everything more than perfect. It was so wonderful we felt at home. Sally and David did everything for us. We shall come back. Highly recommended.

we stayed here for only one night (sadly!) and everything was absolutely wonderful.
We stayed in two rooms in the main house & they were far better than many a high standard hotel we have stayed in.
David & Sally really put themselves out & go above and beyond what you would expect from many B&Bs. The rooms are large, fresh and airy. Wonderfully comfy bed, loads of fresh fruit in your room as well as biccies & treats, tea and coffee and a fridge with milk in for us. Spacious en suite shower room which was immaculately clean, as was everywhere else.
At breakfast time I wish I had more room in my tummy! Fruit, cereals, youghurt, toast, juice, fresh tea and coffee...and then cooked breakfast!! Davids scrambled eggs were some of the best I have ever had, real breakfast sausages, farm eggs (surely you can mange 2 fried? to my other half!) bacon, mushrooms & tomatoes, or we could have had smoked salmon and muffins as well!
The setting is sensational, the house beautiful & was as relaxing and as welcoming a stay as you could ever wish for. We will definitely be back next year for a longer stay.
Thank you both so very much

We stayed at Syndale Lodge B & B as a family of 5 for 2 nights while visiting Kent for a family christening. We had 2 rooms and both were of an exceptionally high standard. Fresh fruit and flowers in each room and chocolates on the pillows were a very welcoming gesture. The rooms were very clean and light and had a really good standard of furnishings.

The owners, Sally and David and very friendly and provide a great breakfast, fresh fruit, cereal, full cooked breakfast, toast and honey, jams etc. What a great start to the day.

In a good location, it took us less than an hour to drive up to London for the day because it is easily accessible to the motorway network.

We would thoroughly recommend this B & B to everybody and we would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I stayed at Syndale Lodge for two nights for a break whilst celebrating our birthdays. We were greeted warmly by both owners on arrival and shown straight to our room - warm, spotlessly clean, spacious and comfortably furnished. Mr and Mrs Willis have gone to a lot of effort to make their guests welcome in their unique and stunning home. The pristine shower room was toasty warm on a freezing November night, there were fresh flowers on the night table, little chocolates on the pillow, a bowl of fresh fruit and fresh milk for hot drinks in the mini fridge.

Syndale Lodge is conveniently situated for the lovely market town of Faversham, the seaside at Whitstable and is only an hour from Greater London!

Breakfast is a real treat. Candlelit and private, whether it is taken in the stunning garden room or at the table in the Willis's main living area, the countryside views are breathtaking. The food was perfectly cooked using fresh ingredients, accompanied by limitless (delicious) coffee or tea and hot toast. For the smaller appetite, a fresh fruit platter, yoghurt or abundant cereal fit the bill. (As there are two rooms available for booking, I imagine you would share the table with the guests in the other room if they were staying at the same time as you, but this didn't apply to us - we had the table to ourselves).

We had a wonderful, relaxing break in Kent and would not hesitate to recommend this fabulous accomodation with its caring and attentive hosts to any couple. A real find and somewhere we hope to return to very soon!
