“Gourmet food, busy traffic ”
Reviewed 12 July 2014 via mobile

We went to this place and booked a table in advance. We got a seat just outside the kitchen window which was interesting but there was a lot of people and staff passing by throughout the entire dinner. The food was quite good, we opted for the tasting menu. The service was good but not anything special. For example we never managed to get a cup of coffee in the end, since the waiters were busy.

“NOT a low carb option!”
Reviewed 12 July 2014

Went here on recommendation of the lovely Gabriella at our B&B. A strange entrance - didn't even know it was a restaurant . . . being mid-winter there were few other diners and the place seemed quiet but nonetheless we were warmly welcomed and attended to. The food was delicious and we three ordered the degustation, but for my personal taste, the many forms of bread offered in between courses was just not achievable. While I respect the Sicilian/Italian love of their breads, it is just too filling and risks spoiling one's appetite. Add to that my actual intolerance to gluten and it is impossible and then I felt churlish not accepting the breads. Also felt the courses came out far too quickly and would have appreciated more time to just savour everything. Not great alcohol experts but enjoyed what the staff recommended, but again, possibly too much too quickly. Lovely to say that I have been there though!

“Pretty close...”

But it does not quite nail it. Some dishes are really good, and being a Swede you really love the nice price on local wines (go for Etna!). But being a one star Michelin restaurang you'd expect more. This restaurant would never get a star in Scandinavia. You get so much more there (and also pay at least 100% more). But nice staff and a cool restaurant.

“Less imaginative than expected”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

Lovely restaurant - with lots of talented staff. Nice touches of upscale restaurant - good amuse-bouches; sweets at end. But most dishes seem pretty much what one can find in other moderately-priced restaurants in this part of Sicily - decent swordfish rolls, pleasant pastas, a good shrimp carpaccio - but the MIchelin star may reflect more the size and capability of the staff than the interest in the menu.

“Simply amazing”
Reviewed 20 April 2014 via mobile

Loved how they prepare and display each plate-food was delicious and very friendly staff! I reccomend the mix fish appetizer which has a taste of all cooked fish as well as their raw appetizer plate. Allo other entries are great too! Definately a must when in Palermo- do mind that it is a bit pricey but worthwhile!
