“First Class B&B”
Reviewed 26 June 2012

.We have just returned from a really lovely long weekend staying at Buckland House. Frances and Roger are the perfect hosts and really made us feel at home, nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are lovely and the breakfast excellent. We all need to go on diets now after the lovely home made biscuits which were always replenished when the tin was empty! Must not forget to mention the wonderful wildlife in the garden. Our special favourites were the woodpecker who we saw every morning and also the rabbits and squirrels in the front garden. All in all, a wonderful B&B which we would recommend to anyone. Hope to visit again in the future.

A very high quality home from home. Frances and Roger are attentive caring hosts. 'Welcome tray' most impressive, with ground coffee, a miniature cafetiere and home-made biscuits! Breakfast provided as much as we could eat, bedrooms are spacious and beds are comfortable. My friend has mobility difficulties, and Roger made blocks to raise the bed. Following my friend's suggestion, Roger & frances are considering providing a stool in the shower for those who prefer or need to sit down when showering. A lounge is available for guests' use at any time.

Friendly, helpful and accommodating hosts, very clean room with comfortable bed and good shower.
Freshly cooked breakfast was also also great (even though the poached egg was overdone!).
Would definately stay again if I return to that part of the country.

Room Tip: Penny room is the one we had and the quietest

A wonderful welcome to a very comfortable accommodation. With an excellent breakfast to wake up to in the morning. We brought along our 2 year old labrador who was also made very welcome, even though he wasn't aloud the english breakfast in the morning, he was still able to watch. We wish to thank Roger and Frances for having us and the dog, for a lovely few days. Highly recommended.

A wonderful welcome, the room and lounge were very comfortable, and the breakfast choice and quality was excellent. Roger and Frances are excellent hosts, the surrounding area has some great views. This was a short two day weekend break glad we chose this venue, we would recommend this to anybody.

Another warm welcome (plus an umbrella!) greeted us on a very wet day in August. Having enjoyed a weekend two years previously with Roger & Frances it was good to catch up with them again. The accomodation is spotless and the breakfasts excellent in every way. In lovely surroundings it really was a relaxing weekend - we certainly hope to go back.
