It's difficult to be critical of a facility when they treat you like family, but sadly, I wouldn't go back here. It's an older facility and the rooms are just... tired.
The bathrooms seemed to be cleaned as best they could be; but the tile grout and caulk were old and icky and desperatly needed to be redone.

This hotel was perfect in terms of location, cost, amenities. I liked the little lapdesk in the room as well as the flat screen TV, microwave and fridge. There was plenty of light for reading. The office staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was a notch above average - included yogurt, waffles and biscuits/gravy. The downsides were a very noisy toilet (literally sounded like an airhorn) and a fairly strong mildew/mold odor in the bathroom. The room, including the bathroom, was quite clean so I think the odor is under the floor or in the walls. The toilet issue could be fixed easily but I'm not sure about the smell. I was only there one night and closing the bathroom door (and using earplugs) took care of the problems for me. If I were to be there longer I would have asked to change rooms.

We have been on the road for 5 weeks and have stayed in a lot of motets.
This is one of the cleanest , best smelling rooms we have found . Some may have stayed as they where remodeling ,but the room we had was clean , fresh, and up-to-date. The staff was friendly and very helpful . The room was a park at the door , pet friendly , free internet , and Big with a Mic and fridge . Plus a hot breakfast . And all for about 60 dollars in a area that is about 100+ for this type of room . So if you are traveling I 80 near Lincoln , Nebraska. Be sure to give this Roadway Inn a chance.

We stayed at this location one night while driving through on vacation. The front desk staff was very friendly (her name is Rose), and they gave us a welcome bag with water and some cookies. I thought that was a nice, personal touch. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy. We would have slept great if we had been in a different room. My only complaint was that we were right next to the room with the guest laundry, vending machines & ice machine. These machines were right next to the wall of our room. All night we listened to these machines run. It was very annoying especially since my boyfriend had specifically asked for a quiet room. The location of this place is great. Its minutes from major highways and not too far from downtown Lincoln. We would stay here again, but in a different room.

This is a middle-aged, basic, two story property. Adequate for a one night stop over.

The Good: Good freeway access.
Ground floor rooms have parking at the door.
Rooms have been updated with newer carpeting and furniture.
Toilet and shower in separate room from vanity.
Shaded picnic area.
Decent breakfast.
Cleanliness and repair seemed OK.
Reasonable rates.

The Bad: In outlying commercial area with poor restaurant options.
Small room, tiny toilet/shower room
Tiny breakfast room; only three tables.

The Ugly: The biggest problem was overpowering humidity in room, making it smelly
and funky. AC controlled the temperature, but didn't seem to do anything
for the humidity. It felt like we were sleeping in a swamp!

We booked at this hotel with a little hesitation, we saw the last review and didn't know what to think. We finally decided to give it a try.

1) My wife called the hotel directly as she most often does, was greeted professionally. The attendant was nice to even sign us up for Choice Privileges.

2) We arrived at the hotel, it is quite a convenient location only few minutes to downtown where we had some business to take care of and close to I-80 for the next morning. We were checked into our room with no incident. We even got a few bottles of water and some snacks because we were Choice privileges members.

3) The room was nice and cool, the AC was on and set at a comfortable temp. The smell of the room was fresh with a light hint of air freshener.

4) We found the beds to be fairly new, the linen well taken care of and for a economy brand it had a flat screen TV (needed to watch the NBA game). The micro-fridge was useful for our meds.

5) After a good QUITE night we took a hot shower and went to the breakfast area, the offerings were outstanding. I think My wife counted 18 different items, for the price we paid that was nice. We saved money on breakfast and hit the road.

We enjoyed our stay and we be back really soon.

PS: We took some pictures so everyone could see the rooms.

Room Tip: We were on the West Side.

We called ahead and were told that the room was recently remodeled. Instead, our room's AC/Heater was partly detached from the wall, wallpaper was coming off, screws were sticking out the wall, we were charged twice for our one room and we were not given a key because the attendant did not know how to program it. A true disaster! Top of it, it took us 20 minutes to get checked in.
