India is a country with a wide range of diverse cuisines in which the word Indian means very little given the immense variety depending on region. Tandoor is a local gem in that it is one of the few "Indian" restaurants in the United States that serves a range of cuisine in a style more familiar to the countries of Bhutan and Nepal but with an element of standard European presentation and atmosphere and typical Indian spices more familiar to the sub-continent. Be on the lookout for Bhutanese Chicken here, as it is outstanding and one of the specialties of the chef. The tuna and salmon here are generally given wonderful treatment and attention and almost always come out tender and succulent. The menu has a wide range of choices and many of the Northern standard dishes are done in a better way than they are at the more notorious and popular Indian Oven.
