“Very Good Food”
Reviewed 1 July 2014

We stopped here to try some different Indian food in Lincoln and WOW this place delivered. The staff knows the menu and they have a lot of dishes to choose from. We asked our server what she liked and she recommended a few dishes so we tried them. The bread and main dish where great. The place clean and is kind of dated but I don't care I like good food and I don't always go for the decor. I will be back that is for sure.

“A Taste of the North”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

India is a country with a wide range of diverse cuisines in which the word Indian means very little given the immense variety depending on region. Tandoor is a local gem in that it is one of the few "Indian" restaurants in the United States that serves a range of cuisine in a style more familiar to the countries of Bhutan and Nepal but with an element of standard European presentation and atmosphere and typical Indian spices more familiar to the sub-continent. Be on the lookout for Bhutanese Chicken here, as it is outstanding and one of the specialties of the chef. The tuna and salmon here are generally given wonderful treatment and attention and almost always come out tender and succulent. The menu has a wide range of choices and many of the Northern standard dishes are done in a better way than they are at the more notorious and popular Indian Oven.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Some of the finest Indian cuisine I have had and not just in this area but compared to several much larger cities in the US. The atmosphere is dated and the restaurant is relatively small but typically there is always a table waiting. The menu is extensive and frankly we have never had anything there that wasn't delicious. The service is fast, real fast and if that is an issue for you make sure you tell the wait staff when you arrive. The prices are decent and the portions are very generous. You will not be disappointed! Ironically of all places Lincoln NE has 3 very good Indian restaurants: Tandoor, The Oven and Sher e Punjab. Enjoy

“Loved the House Shrimp”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

Four of us ate at Tandoor tonight and we were all pleased with our choices. I had House Shrimp--shrimp, mushrooms, onions, cauliflower, and jalapeno in a mild creamy sauce served with rice. Everyone in our party tasted mine (there were several nice sized shrimp so I didn't mind sharing) and everyone liked mine a lot. The others had chicken, lamb and biryani. We order plain and garlic naan, which is very garlicky but we like garlic so it was a hit with my husband and me. Price for us as a couple (we had lamb, shrimp and naan) was just over $30. A good value. Definitely recommend. Compares well to the Oven restaurants in Lincoln.

“Excellent Indian Food”
Reviewed 1 August 2013 via mobile

Very good food and a fair price. Broad selection of dishes.

We eat here at least once every month or two and the food has always been great. Service is polite and friendly.

I highly recommend!
