We Stayed here 4 nights while visiting Death Valley NP. It was much more affordable than staying in the park. We had a fridge and in-room coffee. The office had a microwave that we used. The service was great and the rooms were very clean. Being the off-season, the entire town was very quiet. There was a 24-hour gas and quickie mart next door, so that was convenient as well.

I stay here a lot for work. It's not the Hilton, but it is the best place to stay in Beatty. The rooms are clean, and most of the staff is nice. Dora is miserable. All the time. Fortino is a great guy. Elizabeth is not very bright, and I have never met the manager. In her defense, I am only there in the evenings, but I'm told if she has a problem with you, she will not be shy about it, so maybe its a good thing I have never met her.
Housekeeping is pretty good. The one cute little maid hangs out at the bar across the street. Gets hit on by every man at the motel, and doesn't reciprocate.
Could be the source of some bad reviews.

Overall, its not a bad place to stay. It's not the Hilton, so if you don't go into it expecting that, you will be fine,

After reading reviews, we decided to stay here while we hiked in Death Valley. We were expecting something a little nicer even in this small town. This motel is old and noisy from truck engines running all night. We decided to move to another place the third night and are so glad we did. There are better places to stay.

Dreary, tired and shabby. Rooms old-style motel basic, though clean. Grounds looked like a garbage dump. Fled after one night. Astride the gateway to Death Valley with its limited and wildly over priced lodging, you'd think Beatty could figure it out.

Took a group trip to Death Valley and the leader picked this place. That it's convenient for a multi-day trip to Death Valley is the best I can say.

The room felt straight out of the 70's and just didn't feel clean. The bathroom was full of hairs. Hairs on the floor. Hairs in the tub. Ick!

My TV remote was so dirty I wrapped it in a washcloth.

And no offense to the people of Beatty but I don't think we saw one person smile while at the motel, the convenience store next door, the bar across the street or anywhere. Just one unhappy person giving us the evil eye everywhere we went. Felt very uncomfortable.

The hotel was about $70. I paid roughly the same for a room the the MGM in Vegas. No comparison of course. This was a glorified Motel 6.
