Not only did we get all the beauty of Red Rock Canyon, we also did not have to deal with the Vegas Strip. It was calm, peaceful and refreshing. The motel is older, however our room was clean and the guest service we received was extraordinary. The motel staff is awesome, they were helpful and suggested great hikes for us. We ate in the restaurant and loved the down home food. We are planning a return trip soon. This is a gem nestled in the hills of Red Rock and I for one will be back!!!!

Room Tip: Our room was a standard and quiet!!

Bonnie Springs Motel, Restaurant, Petting Zoo, and Old West shows were a refreshing change of pace that allowed our family to experience the Old West less than 30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. Bonnie, the owner of Bonnie Springs, now 90-years-young, charmed guests with her stories of how she found and acquired this legendary property and developed it over years of time. Bonnie shared how she purchased Bonnie Springs in 1952 for her father, Wilbur McGaw, a Hollywood Stunt Actor, so he could have a place to make Old West movies. "When I first found this place it was a dump with no electricity, but it had a bar. I put money into that bar first and then 12 years later , we had electricity." Amy,one of the servers at the Restaurant at Bonnie Springs, went out of her way to explain more about the property, the birds, and how dedicated Bonnie is to her animals and petting zoo. Mary, the motel manager, was super-caring and helpful and made us feel welcome. This property is not fancy, it offers a casual setting, a chance for the family to learn and experience the Old West Vegas, to go horseback riding and out into the desert to reconnect with nature. We dined in the restaurant overlooking a huge pond filled with turtles and ducks. The food was good and fairly priced. I would recommend you experience the bison ribs for a different dinner. Take a break from the city and whether you stay one night or a week, you'll leave more refreshed after a good night sleep from the relaxing breezy night air.

We were getting ready to walk to find the Hotel Office and one of there security staff give us an attitude telling us get out and we explain we need it to find the office and he direct it us there. Wile we were checking rates to stay the night outside there office another family came and ring the bell and a blond lady came out she looked like she had just woke up with a bad mood we were polite and told the family to go in first and by the brochure they had out side we saw the info we need, we took the brochure and stared walking to our car well suv the lady came out yelling and been rude for no reason!! I dint understand what she was saying but I try telling her that we need it info on the room rates and we were walking to our car and after seen how they mistreated us I will never come back to this place They are rude and don't know how to welcome guests.

This is one of those places that is a hidden gem. It nestles at the foot of red rock mountains, only 20 mins from Las Vegas strip - but in atmosphere and beauty - a million miles away. At night you can see shooting stars, listen to coyotes howl and wild buros call. The restaurant is a warm place to sit and chat, and the food is good quality. The owners need to spend a little TLC on the rooms. Our sheets had holes, and the light fittings were very old with missing bulbs. But the rooms were spotless. Its not a cheap place to stay, but few of these places exist nowdays in the lear of hotels of brass and ferns. We will come back.

Stayed at Bonnie Springs for the July 4th weekend. Staffs are super friendly and go out of their way to make you happy. Staffs customer services are way above those at the typical Vegas Casino. Perhaps they care more because it's a family run business.

Don't expect luxury resort but if you are with family and want to just relax instead of the busy rush of the Vegas Strip, and then this is the place. The restaurant has tasty food and usually no wait. The best part of this place is the horseback riding.

This place is not for single people that want to party but for family it is terrific.

Horseback riding at Bonnie Springs was the highlight of our trip to Las Vegas. The horses were friendly and well behaved and our guide (Amy) was great. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to get away from the strip and see the real Nevada.

i went here with my 2 of my sister-in-laws and we all loved it!!!

we took the morning horse riding. When we got there we got a huge fry-up in the restuarant/bar and were introduced to 2 of the wranglers. Once we finished we went outside, met the horses we would be riding on and were given a brief safety talk. We then saddled up and headed out for 2hours in Red Rock Canyon. I would definitely recomend long trousers as some catci can come quite close, and definitely bring water!
Our wrangler seemed very informative and extremely friendly. He took our pics for us and pointed out various types of catci/animals along the way.

After our ride, we went to the bar and had a nice cool drink. the bar is very itneresting, with memorabilia and photographs of the old town, and visitors over the years. Again the staff there were very friendly and chatted away to us.

We then headed out to the petting zoo where we were met with one of the keepers. He took us round the zoo, telling us all about the animals. They all seemed quite content and there were 2 other helpers putting out fresh water at the time. We were given some food to feed to the animals and we were even allowed to hold and pet them. Absolutely loved this!!!

Overall it was a fantastic experience - we were in no rush to get back to vegas and we felt very welcome by ALL staff at the ranch. We are definitely going back again next year!!!
