“One Night for Business”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

I have to go to LV weekly for business and have been trying the various Hilton properties.

Pros: Very nice hotel. Quiet, very comfortable, fast internet. Full gym - aerobic machines, free weights, and weight machines. Excellent service (equal to a five star hotel).

Cons: Too far from downtown. It took me 40 min from the airport and 35 min to work the next morning. Isolated location. Resort fee.

As a Diamond with Hilton, they gave me a coupon for the buffet breakfast; however, the hotel was empty so I was able to use it a la carte.

This would be a great place to stay for a vacation or on-site meeting but it was too far for a quick business trip.

This Hilton is located about 30 minutes away from the airport and the strip. It is a resort type with a small "village" with various restaurants and stores. The Lake gives this hotel a stunning view. The hotel is perfect for a business meeting for a large group.
The room was in the 8th floor and had a fantastic view of the lake. The room was large,, tastefully decorated and equipped with modern amenities. The bed was very comfortable, good linen and plenty of pillows. The bathroom was large with a soaking tub as well as a shower and I loved the oversize towels!
The hotel is a beauty but the town is completely empty giving the property an erie feel of an abandoned town.

Room Tip: Make sure to stop at the little store in the village full of beautiful things!

We are here now. Hotel is lovely. Our room is classic Hilton. Large and comfortable. Bathroom is huge. But if you plan even one trip back to the strip rent a car. It's a $70 cab ride ONE WAY. The hotel Shuttle leaves the strip at 10:15 pm. Not nearly late enough. Self park here is free. A few restaurants and shops are open but most of the Village is vacant. Pool is closed for the season. Views are amazing. Restful.

The hotel is perfect for balancing some restful quiet time with the activity of the strip only 25 minutes away! Food was delicious and all staff were very accommodating! Most enjoyable was sitting in the courtyard with the warmth of the fire pit to keep you warm on a cold winter night in January!

The property is far enough from the Strip to avoid the typical Las Vegas experience, but close enough to get there. The hotel is beautiful and the service is excellent. I was concerned about the parking after reading some entries, but I did not find that it was far at all. Overall, excellent experience for our family.

We were in town for a few days for the international Rugby Sevens tournament at Sam Boyd stadium and initially had contemplated staying at one of the Hilton properties on the Strip (and we are Hilton Diamond members), which is typical when we visit Las Vegas. We travel a lot internationally and domestically and routinely do our homework in scouting out potential attractions, hotels, restaurants and the like. While a bit wary of some of the reviews about the Hilton Lake Las Vegas property--largely due to the decline of the overall area after the economic downturn of ~2008-2009--we were pleasantly surprised and would both stay here again and have no hesitation about recommending the property to others. The Lake Las Vegas area is undergoing a steady rebound in its economy, which is trickling down to local businesses including the Hilton. This property certainly is out of the way relative to the Strip, but that's also a selling point. During our stay we made forays onto the Strip for a couple of shows and some time at the tables, hiked one day out at the Red Rocks park, and commuted back and forth to the stadium. While these drives ranged from 20-30 minutes, that's really minimal given the overall beautiful and peaceful (and smoke free!) setting of the hotel. As Diamond members, we are very attentive to what is going on at Hilton properties almost at a subconscious level. Our check-in and check-out processes were efficient and flawless. All of our Diamond benefits (breafast vouchers, WiFi in the room, daily bottled water, nice room over the bridge) were summarized at check-in without prompting. The pool was closed, but the property provided Spa access. We had a couple of meals on property and found the ingredients to be fresh and the preparation tasty. The breakfast buffet and cooked-to-order options were excellent and included a wide range of choices. Most importantly, we found the hotel staff to be professional and efficient, albeit also personable and engaging. We always were made to feel welcome. Regarding prices, we stayed in a two-room suite (one and one-half baths) overlooking the bridge and paid ~$225 per night for a four-night stay, which we found to be very reasonable. The resort fee ($22 per night) is annoying, and we agree with most commenters that this essentially is an up-charge to the basic room rate, but it seems most resort properties and hotel brands are going in this direction. The on-site prices of meals and drinks were reasonable. In summary, we confidently recommend this property and would stay here again when in the Las Vegas area.

I hosted a corporate event here, with 4 meetings and events spread over 3 days. All of my guests were very pleased with their stay. The rooms are fabulous and the meeting spaces fit our needs perfectly. The staff I worked with for our meetings, from management, catering, and AV needs exceeded my expectations - very professional and readily available if we needed anything.
Some of the downsides - the shuttle service was not as easy as advertised. Shuttles to and from the airport were running late (and sometimes didn't show at all) throughout our stay. The shuttle to The Strip was booked most of the time so be sure to make plans early. The casino on site was closed, which I did not learn until I arrived.
The Village was pretty empty most of the time, which can be viewed as a good aspect or bad. Good because we could get into any of the restaurants, but bad if you were looking for a lively evening out. The lounge staff at the Hilton made up for the lack of life in The Village - very upbeat and friendly.
Be warned that the resort is very large and you may find yourself walking far. I had a room on the bridge with a beautiful view and did not mind the long walk to and from my room. However, if this is something that you would mind, make sure you request a closer room when you make your reservation.

Room Tip: The resort is large - if a long walk to and from your room is an issue, be sure to make sure you ask...
