“Not to be missed”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

This year's production 'as you like it' was excellent as each year's play is. The twist they put on these plays and the setting at the lake make it a not to be missed event. We bring our own food and wine but usually have an intermission hot chocolate.

“Looking forward to next season”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Amazing venue, great food, good theatre. Lines for bathrooms are long, they were out of soap. But, they were clean when I went. It was a fabulous experience. I can't wait to do it again.

“Awesome Venue for Shakespeare”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

We went to see "As You Like It" during the summer of 2014. Then venue is second to none. Shakespeare, IMO, is best outdoors in an amphitheater. We had our two kids, Ages 13 and 17, with us and they enjoyed the experience. The cast was outstanding outside of Orlando, who was a bit robotic for my taste.

We ate at the venue. The food was good, but a little over-priced. My recommendation is bring your own food and beverage. We saw many people bring their own bottles of wine. The staff and cast is very laid back and friendly.

The venue is by the lake and it is at night, so blankets and jackets are a plus.

The bathrooms are few and dirty. The main restrooms are the public beach restrooms, so be prepared. the other option are portables.

“Restrooms leave a lot to be desired”
Reviewed 2 August 2014 via mobile

Everything about venue is wonderful except restrooms are disgusting. They are used all day by beach goers and are exactly what you expect, totally gross, out of toilet paper and not even close to sanitary

“A Wonderful Evening Experience”
Reviewed 25 July 2014

We were planning our vacation at Lake Tahoe and we decided to attend the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival's presentation of "As You Like It". We are so glad we did.

We bought the Premium tickets and we were just two rows from the stage. That's the real advantage of the premium tickets. You can order dinner and drinks from your seat, but its the proximity to the stage that makes it worth the price. Don't think you have to buy the Premium tickets to enjoy the performance. It's a small theatre and lower priced tickets provide an excellent view of the stage.

We did have dinner at the theatre. The Shrimp Tacos were delicious and the staff was extremely friendly and courteous.

The setting for the theatre is outstanding. Located right in the beautiful Sand Harbor State Park and it's right on the beach surrounded by giant pines.

The performance was first rate and very enjoyable. It was a fantastic evening and we would highly recommend.
