“Great service all around!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

From the second we arrived this was amazing experience! Comfortable, very clean, and some of the absolute B-E-S-T service we've ever experienced! If there were a 6-star rating, this place easily earns it! We were so pleasantly but energetically greeted by Jill at the front desk. Check-in was quick, effortless and topped-off with a glass of champagne. Our bellman, David, was quick up to our room and knowledgeable of the area (gave great suggestions and left his card in case we had questions). Our dinner at the Lone Eagle Grill was a touch of heaven: George, the sommelier, made the perfect recommendations; Nicole, the restaurant manager, made sure we had the perfect evening; Roberto and Amanda, our waiter and waitress (we like the restaurant so much, we went back a second night), were knowledgable of the food they were serving and provided superb customer service as well. We enjoyed our stay so much we extended our stay! And although we did have to leave, we will definitely return to this resort time and time again.

A fantastic property in a gorgeous location. But what truly stood out was the incredibly warm welcome we received from Shannon at reception. Smiling, engaging, and personable--she took it upon herself to find us a nice room and we couldn't be more appreciative. Her brand of genuine hospitality is extremely rare, especially--ironically--in the hotel industry. She's a gem! Relaxing at the lake, lounging in the comfortable rooms, and even trying out a little roulette in the casino made for a great getaway. Treat yourself!!

We have been to this Hyatt several times before, but it was better than ever. We had booked a Balcony room in the Spa wing of the hotel and stayed there the first 2 nights....Great room with pool view. I had inquired about upgrading to a Lakeside cottage for the next 4 nights and it was available for upgrade at a very fair rate. The hotel Assistant Mgr., Christine Fry, was unbelievably helpful at every turn and made the move very easy for us! I can't say enough about how great the staff was! Our new digs in the Lakeside Cottages were amazing and only steps to the beach! This is a wonderful resort and we can't wait to return next year!

The best thing about this hotel is the beach and all the activities. Everyone at Action Watersports is wonderful and supper accommodating. We rented 2 boats one day and 4 Jet Skis the next - it was great because it's for hotel guest only, so it's not crowded. As for the hotel, we've stayed there 2 times. Once we splurged for the waterfront rooms and that was a waste of money. The rooms were nothing special for the price. We recently stayed in the hotel itself and we thought the rooms were nicer. Super comfortable beds and very clean. The breakfast was fabulous and great service. The downside to the hotel is the noise level is very loud if your next to a family. Each morning (very early) we'd hear kids and their parents screaming. There is a note in the rooms that requests people to be considerate of noise level, but it's very small and I'm sure most don't read it. We almost got a good nights rest each night!

Room Tip: We had a room with a balcony, which I'd recommend. If you are travelling without children, I wou...

The Hyatt, Lake Tahoe, is a beautiful resort located on the beach in Incline Village. The staff is very friendly and helpful. A shout out goes to Shannon at the front desk and Manuala at the pool for really taking care of us. I agree with other reviewers, if you mind kids screaming at the pool, choose another hotel. No adult pool. Another concern was the high prices at the pool bar and grill. A hamburger is $15 and a hotdog is $10. Otherwise, I highly recommend a stay at this upscale resort. Be sure to take a paddle boat trip to Emerald Bay and drive around the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We have been traveling to this hotel for 20 years! We come almost every summer. This property is extraordinary. It is the only resort hotel around the lake with a beach. The beach gained 50 feet of width this year (water level down 4 ft) from lack of snow this past winter. The casino is a small, high end environment. The resort is stunning. Views are just beyond stunning from the beach and from the Lone Eagle Grill. Bellman, valet, dealers and front desk are top notch. The resort is catering more and more to families. We also raised our boys vacationing here, and we understand family vacations. It is just unfortunate that people who don't have children struggle to find a quiet place. The beach is massive. It has (nobody seems to know working at the hotel) 550 ft of waterfront, according to the beach concierge's guess. There is not one beach area that is designated for adults who don't wish to have kids around them 24/7. There is a great place that is approx 75 ft just to the east of the pier that could be great to offer adults. I asked the beach valets why they don't have a place for adults with such a massive beach and they say "they don't know why but we can write the hotel a letter and request it". If you go to the pool, it is a day of Marco, Polo, Marco, Polo, MAARRRCCCOOO, POOOLLLOOOOO!!!! There is no adult pool. Anyway, you got the idea, and don't misunderstand, we love children, it's just that there is no place for adults here, unless you are at the casino or the spa and the spa charges you 24 dollars to use the relaxation room, sauna, showers per day. When you go to the beach before 11:00, all the chairs in the front row are taken, but almost nobody is in any chair. People come down early and take the chairs and leave. I have pictures of the beach at 10:45 and you can see front row is hardly occupied with people but all chairs are taken. I think the hotel should not allow that to happen. Why should a chair sit empty in the front row when there are over 1,000 beach chairs set up on this beach at all times?

My last poo poo is the concierge club level. There are 6 tables in the area with one community table that seats 10, a couch and 2 arm chairs. This is too small. I would love to know how many people they give access to this room? It's a lot! I just don't think the employees" get it" how much extra you pay to enjoy this room. A host wiped our table with a wet rag and it was just wet and disgusting, she left, no drying it off. I got up and found napkins to dry it because my newspaper would have stuck to it. Hot chocolate is spilled all over one of the arm chairs, up close, the furniture has seen its day. It is small and it is incredibly overcrowded if you go after 9:00am. 8:00am it is almost empty. They want you to gamble all night, but you better get up early or it is a crazy room with kids and people EVERYWHERE, with no room to sit. It should be open until 11:00..... this is a casino, it is a vacation resort. On the 5th day host offered us trays, but they are not out and one would not know this. If you are in the room when it is closing (9:45-10:00am ish), you will be subject to massive noise, the employees 4 or 5 are just trying to do their jobs. Silverware slamming, china clanging, doors banging, this is no exaggeration, you can hear them banging all the way down the hall. You cannot read your paper and enjoy the view, don't even think about it. The employee comes first. It's about them getting their job done and they do that job really, really loud.

Room Tip: I like the balcony rooms (not the balcony rooms overlooking the parking lot or the pool). I like th...

My husband and I stayed early July to enjoy the lake. The staff was amazing offering us champagne at check-in. We stayed in the upper cottage, room 275. Room was so gorgeous with views of the lake from our deck. We also went parasailing through the resort's AWS. Breath taking views! It's a must. In all - this resort has it all!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
A spectacular setting on Lake Tahoe’s north shore with 500 feet of private, lakefront beach. Surrounded by towering pines and mountain greenery; 35 miles to Reno/Tahoe Int’l Airport; 40 miles to South Lake Tahoe Airport. Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino was recreated in the classic style of a 1920s alpine grand lodge. Exterior renovations of river rock and shingles complement the natural environment with colors echoing the tradition and sense of history of the original homes built in the Tahoe area. Extensive river rock landscaping and two outdoor fireplaces add to the guests' sense of arrival at the "Old Tahoe-Lodge" style entrance. The resort's Grand Lobby boasts crafted stonework, creating a cozy setting amid the warmth of an oversized double-sided fireplace, rich leather chairs and high-beam ceilings. The 421 guestrooms, including 24 lakeside cottages, have been decorated with natural pine, distressed wood, and leather furnishings, reflecting the setting with autumn colors of moss, brick red and wheat. Included in our Lake Tahoe resort's $60 million transformation was the addition of the Spa Terrace, a new three-story wing adjacent to the main 12-story hotel. Offering 138 luxury guestrooms with views of the Sierra Nevada skyline, the addition provides visitors with private balconies and breathtaking lake views. The Spa Terrace replaces the resort's former Aspen Terrace and overlooks the resort's new swimming pools. ... more   less
