The Trump name is synonymous with luxury and first-class accommodations, yet the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas falls far short of that expectation. The lobby is fine, but the rooms are cheaply constructed, especially in comparison to the Encore down the street (and half the size of the Encore's rooms). There is nearly no cell reception in the rooms in this hotel (I moved from the 16th floor because of noise to the 50th floor and both rooms had no cell service), and you can hear the train go by periodically even on the 50th floor.

Although the idea of not having a casino in the hotel initially sounded appealing, it turned out to be really boring (but Trump does offer a free shuttle that goes to the Wynn and Caesers).

I wasn't alone in my sentiments about this hotel. There was a lovely British woman on the shuttle to the airport who had an even worse experience at this hotel than me (I was going to offer to meet her for a drink, but she vanished when we landed in LAX).

If you're looking for an exceptional experience, go with the Encore. Trump doesn't make the cut.

Room Tip: Stay at a higher floor away from the pool.

Annually I spend 8 days in Vegas for a work conference (I book around 10 rooms for the company), the past 4 years I have stayed at the Trump. In 2011 it was great, unfortunately it has steadily declined to the point that I will not be there next year, have already booked the Wynn. For me the Trump was ideal as I am there for business, so no casino but still easy walk to the mall and strip was exactly what I needed. However the worst of the poor service is the breakfast, each year I have complained to no avail. Over 15 to 20 min to get a tablet then wait for service, lucky to be out of the breakfast circus under 1.5hrs. Eventually I gave up, walked across to TI every morning and had breakfast, faster, better, cheaper and with a smile!
If you are looking for restful sleep don't say hear, this year I was on the back end of the hotel. The freight train runs past 10 times a night and sounds it's horn at the crossing. Make sure you are on the front of the building or don't expect to sleep!!!

Great hotel, great rooms and excellent service. The only problem is that the windows do not seal the outside noise from the railroad that passes several times before 6:30 am. I even requested a strip view room, and still could hear the noise.

We stayed here this past weekend with a group 4/24-4/27. The first day we were there my sister in law fell on their marble floor in the bathroom where there was a water leak. We rushed her to the hospital and the xray showed she fractured the bone that connects her shoulder to her elbow. We came back and notified the manager JERRY. They moved us to another room. So here we were totally inconvenienced having to relocate. They never even called to see how she was doing, forget offering any type of apology. It's like they didn't even care. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. They're management and customer services wasn't fit for a dog. I would rate this hotel a 1 STAR HOTEL.... BEWARE!

Stayed at the Trump in July 2013.

We had a great time at this hotel - all the staff were very friendly. It's not located in the strip. As there's no casino in this the property and no smoking smell, I think it is a great place for staying with kids.

The room and bathroom were huge compared to other hotels. In the bathroom, a ceiling shower in a glass enclosure, a Jacuzzi and also a mirror TV.

Lots of space to store clothes and bags.

There is no self parking, but we didn't wait too much at the valet. There's also a van that drops guests at the Caesar's Palace Hotel.

We also had a great time at the pool.

The only drawback was the sofa bed that wasn't comfortable. I'm not sure if this hotel has rooms with two double beds available.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view to the strip.

We did an extensive search for our accommodation in Vegas. Most of the big name hotels are pretty old by now and the rooms can be a little tired looking.

The rate quoted by Trump was by far the best and location wise is just off the strip.

When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised by the opulent room we received.

The concierge service was great and so helpful w tips and ticket bookings. Thanks Ricca and Adriana!!
