“A real good Price to be So Close to the strip”
Reviewed 28 August 2010

It may be a little out dated, but was comfortable, clean as you would expect, and for being basiclly 1 block off the Vegas strip you can't beat the price, and convience. Staff was easy to deal with, pleasurable, and prompt.

Motel Super 8 isn`t as close to the strip as you would like. The motel is behind Bally^s but there is a fence which doesn´t allow you to walk directly to the Strip. When it is hot and sunny you really don´t want to walk that distance from the motel. On the other hand, you can park in almost all the casinos on the strip without having to pay for parking.
The only good thing was the check in was fast and without a problem. The first night we arrived, we discovered we didn´t have enough towels in our room as well as roaches crawling around the room. We killed a roach on the wall, in the morning before we left to the strip, and when we came back in the evening we found our killed friend still on the wall. I called the front desk and a half hour later they sent somebody to removed and bring more towels. Besides that everything else was fine.
The swimming pool was nice and clean.

This place was recommended by a friend and I was not disappointed. The pool is open 24 hours so I was sure to utilize it. The rooms are clean and I did not have any problems with noise from other guests.

You get casino credits for the adjacent casino, which was small but fun. The wi-fi worked well, but not very fast. I would definitely return to this hotel if I were in Vegas.

Although this is definitely NOT the best hotel in town, it's adequate and just about near enough to the Strip to walk to, plus it has a free airport shuttle. These were our two main requirements. We stayed here last in Sept 2008, it's still the same but I think the lobby area has been re-decorated and the staff seem more helpful and friendly. You get what you pay for, this is a budget hotel but it's OK for a one or two night stay. The restaurant next door at Ellis Island is always busy, again we had a 40 minute wait at 6.45pm.

My husband and I were on a road trip with our German Shepherd and Super 8 was one of the few hotels that were pet friendly. We chose this hotel among the rest because of its convenient location (right behind Bally's) near the strip. There was an extra fee for pets per night but the overall price was still decent.

The hotel was quite clean other than a few stains along the hallway carpets. The staff was helpful and friendly and the free coffee in the lobby was a plus though a complimentary breakfast would have been nicer. Vending machines were at hand near the lobby with food, drinks and toiletries. There were lots of parking spaces and grassy areas for our dog. Our room was near a side entrance which was convenient for taking our dog in and out without going through the main lobby. We brought a laptop with us and we had access to free WiFi in our room. There was also a computer terminal in the lobby available for a fee.

Overall we were quite happy with our 2 night stay and it met our needs. We would stay here again if we ever come to Vegas again with our dog.

cheap, but I wouldn't stay there again, the room was really smelly and dirty, the pool was dirty; location is OK, 5 min walk to the strip, but not the best neighborhood to walk around at night.
