This hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. This was a very quiet hotel and we found it to appear abandoned most of the time. It seemed more like an apartment building than a resort. We didn't figure out the shuttle stops until our last day so we walked to the strip and it was far. Once we found out where to pick up the shuttle from the strip, we found it to be very helpful. The only restaurants near the resort are Subway and a pizza restaurant. The pizza was really good. There was another restaurant attached to the resort that was always closed. There is a lot of abandoned lots surrounding the property, which makes it quite isolated. The timeshare presentation was very long and I had to be rude to the salesman to finally end the "pitch". They did NOT know how to take "no" for an answer.

I would not stay in this resort again because of the distance and the atmosphere. I believe I could find a better value and location. Not that this resort is bad, but I'm sure there is better.

We did ask for a room with a view of the strip (and we got one) - be sure to ask for one because there are a great many rooms with a view of roof, mechanical equipment or a wall.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of "the strip"

If you stay here make sure to get the A suite. The B is very small compared to A. They do connect through doors in the walls. Due to this you can here the other room pretty good. A has a full size shower and a full size tub. The washer and dryer were not very good at all.

Room Tip: Choose a room with A and not B.

The Blue Green property is under the take off landing strip of McCarren Int'l. Some planes are very low and very loud. They have an indoor pool for winter use I guess. It's not heated and very cold. As a non smoking property you will find that every doorway and outside access has become
a smoking area. That is important since now the sun deck is not only noisy but used by all the smokers. Not really a great place to catch some sun. ( Unless you are a smoker of course ).

If you go on the tour offered on a deal by Bass Pro. Be prepared to earn your gift certificate and
where your very tall boots because you will be hearing a relentless sales pitch with a group that wrote the book on high pressure tactics. It reminded me of a bad car dealership.

The Hotel is clean but not a resort by any means. Its basically the same as a national chain hotel with the addition of a small kitchen.

The punch line is that they want you to sign up to pay $600 a month to join their club and they refuse to take no for an answer.

Best Advice, Drink heavily before the sales meeting. That may help.

Room Tip: Don't stay here.

The hotel itself is not bad and the location is pretty good only 10-15mins walk to the strip and they also have free shuttle bus services to the strip as well. I wasn't happy with my stay is that they gave me a shuttle bus schedule and it said that there is a bus coming at 10:30pm. I called the hotel at 10pm to make sure that the bus is still on and the front desk told me that it is on schedule. We waited there for 1 and a half hour but the bus never came. We just happened to bump into another couple that were waiting for the same bus and they also called the hotel to confirm and they were told the same thing 3 times. We ended up sharing a taxi back to the hotel and when we got to the hotel we asked them and another front desk told us that they had an event going on so the last bus was at 8:30pm not 10:30pm. He apologized and that's it...honestly that apology didn't sound sincere to me at all. The fact that I didn't pay full price to book this hotel it doesn't mean that I cannot receive the kind of service that everybody else got...I definitely don't recommend this hotel...

Room Tip: money wise good but service not really

Happy with everything at BG Club36. Everyone went out of their way to be helpful. Cant say enough about the spa service. We had a couples massage that was amazing. Absolute must. You will be glad you took the opportunity to enjoy this spa.

Room Tip: Djanele's spa was wonderful.

My wife and I had our “Budget” anniversary for 3 nights in Las Vegas, our first time there as a couple. We are NOT Vegas people as it turns out, but that is a different story. We had a 1 Bedroom deluxe, and with the freebies from listening to the Time Share deal, it was a good deal. Now we own a Time Share in Cabo, but as we found out, we would NEVER own one in Vegas. The deal they were offering looked really good, but the lack of SoCal properties really turned us away. The ROOM: 700 square foot 1 Bedroom Deluxe, a fully equipped 1 Bedroom apartment, everything you need to heat up, or cook up a meal. The bed was nice, on the firm side which I liked, my wife would have prefered softer. The only problems with the room are the super thin walls between rooms and the lack of balcony/patio or ability to open a window! The location really did not cut it. Being about 1 mile down East Tropicana from the south end of the strip sounded OK, but the concrete walking was rough on our knees, so we ended up taking a cab more time then we liked. ($8-$14 plus tip, depending on where you were coming from and the cabbies route – Harmon Blvd remember that…) They do have a free shuttle, that runs on the half hour in the evening (but not at 5:30), but it only hold 9 (we got on once) and every time we were there another 10 or more missed out.... cab again. We were in the ground floor marketing wing and the 2 and 3 bedroom places we looked during our tour looked nice, but just variations of what we were in, walls looked just as thin. Now, in the same shopping center is Vegas Best Pizza and I can say it was OUTSTANDING, there is a Subway too, but the Burger place down by Einstein’s was closed. Now Einstein’s Bagels was great for getting continental breakfast every day and coffee. There is no food service inside Club 36. The gyms was adequate, 3 treadmills, 2 elliptical, 2 bikes and weights and a couple of machines. When we were there the treadmills had electrical problems and kept going out. The Pool and Jacuzzi are indoors, very humid, we saw lots of kids in the Jacuzzi, not too appealing to a couple getting away from the kids. No other amenities, but really good enough. Of course there is an ABC store and a liquor store in the same place, so you are covered at 7-11 kind of pricing. In all, we had a good time and the place was adaquate, but if you going to Vegas, I would rather stay right on the strip.

During a cousin's wedding, we were offered a 2-night stay as part of an owner's promotion. We've owned at BG for many years, but have been taking advantage of the 2-night promos to save our points. Of course, they still want to present you the sales pitch as if we haven't already done it, which of course is super annoying. The resort is small, but nice and clean. The room was nice, all the basic amenities. The shower was HUGE and tiled beautifully. You don't really need a car if you plan to spend your time on the Strip which is about a mile away. We walked to the Strip on occasion, but would take a cab back. The resort shuttle stops at four location from there you can pretty much walk where you need to, but having more stops would be ideal. Overall, the resort is nice and quiet and the perfect place to get away from the craziness of the Strip without being too far.
