“Average rooms, above average service.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 February 2014

Booked two rooms for three days in late January. Arrived mid-morning to check-in but was told rooms would not be available until 4PM. Not a problem, we understood that it was early and checked in, planning to pick up the keys later in the day. Returned at 4:30 and was told those rooms were still not ready but there were other ones available which we accepted. Fourth floor Carnival tower, with a view of a wall and loud rock music all night long. Next morning we went to the front desk to see what could be done, the woman working there was understanding and very helpful- a wonderful employee! Were allowed to switch rooms immediately to the 19th floor and were pleased with that them. Rooms are showing their age, but have all of the necessary amenities and were worth the $25 price plus $18 resort fee. I would not have been happy if they cost more than that, however.
Had two maintenance issues during this stay: a sticky room door and a leaking shower, but maintenance fixed those problems promptly, so again, the service was very good. The internet is not wireless, which was not a problem for us, but some travelers will find that to be a problem. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable and utilities worked fine, so they served their purpose for the trip.
My one big complaint is the abundance of salespeople pimping timeshares throughout the casino. At the hotel main desk and at every entrance we were bombarded with offers of free shows and such for listening to a spiel about their product. Every time we walked past them it was the same routine. VERY annoying.
Overall, it was an adequate hotel in a fantastic location. It is mid-strip and there is a major transportation hub located behind the casino. Buffet is fantastic- one of the best bargains in town. Would probably not stay here again, but then again if the price were right I may.

Room Tip: Avoid low floors in the Carnival tower unless you like to listen to loud rock music all night.

My girlfriend and I booked our 3 night stay for Valentine's day at Harrah's. We got a really good deal for flight and hotel. I was not expecting to be wowed because of the price and because of the picture of the rooms but I must say, I was impressed. First, the location is amazing. Center of strip, across the street from Caesar's and the Forum Shops. Can't get any better. Second, the rooms were nice and clean. Great room to come in and relax after a long day of walking. I enjoyed the casino, some folks had told me to not play slots here because they never pay out. Well, I won some good money so there went that! The location of the monorail station is great and will save you a lot of cab fare. The few times we took a cab, it cost us around 5-6 dollars just to leave Harrah's. If you can avoid cabs, which you almost should be able to, then don't take one unless you need too. They offer a lot of good food and if you can try the ice cream shop on the second level by Toby Keith's, give it a try it is great.

Overall, I was very satisfied with the stay. I do want to try other hotels just to try them but if you are on a budget and want a great location, this is the place for you. If you're not on a budget but just want a place to sleep at and great location, also for you. I will definitely be staying here again.

Room Tip: Use the monorail. The station is convenient and easy to access. This will save you a lot of cab fare...

I recently stayed at Harrah's Las Vegas and find the location to be perfect for what I plan on doing in LV. The dueling piano bar is a lively place to have drinks and fun before going off to your room.
The hotel is one of the oldest in LV but I found the room clean and the staff extremely friendly. I left some med's in the refrigerator and got a call the next day from lost and found and they promptly sent my med's via priority mail no questions asked.
I have stayed here three times and will do so the next visit to LV.
Ruth Chris steak house is a nice place to have a quiet dinner overlooking the strip, or a noisier place would be Toby Kieth's restaurant.
Just out the back door is the walkway to the monorail with no stops on the way to the Convention Center. Also the new Ferris wheel will open in March directly behind Harrah's and the Quad.

Room Tip: I had a room on the 16 floor of the Mardi Gra tower which is the first floor on the upper floor elev...

My wife, daughter and her boyfriend and myself stayed at Harrah's from Sunday 2/9/2014 until 02/14/2014. From top to bottom management has this place under control.By this I mean EVERYONE treats you with respect and welcoming arms. From the maids (who may I say keep the rooms VERY clean). To the bartenders ( who may I say are very friendly) and can make a great drink Buffet was good.Pit bosses greeting us and very friendly (not stuffy) as well as the dealers. Check in, check out very easy and friendly. This is a hotel that has it's "TEAM" together.
I WILL stay again and do suggest others to stay here also.
I do need to suggest a couple of things for improvement (for the common man/woman). As everyone know the strip is VERY expensive these days. And Caesars is a VERY big corporation.
I think to pull more people in to their older casinos they need to bring back cheaper prices and more "deals" to the strip." Common" people need to feel when they are going to Las Vegas that they are getting value for their HARD earned dollar. So I just want to throw this out there. Cheaper drinks (without gambling) I understand that is what pulls the money in. Easier and cheaper coffee options. Starbucks (expensive and LONGGG lines! Have cheaper and more food options Get back to the old days of Vegas when people went there because it was fun and cheap.

The recently remodeled rooms in the Jubilee Tower were great! The rooms are decorated with beautiful red and grey colors. The beds are very comfortable and the view is amazing. We looked right out of our window at the Paris Eiffel Tower and the Bellagio fountains. The only bad thing we have to say is that the Bellagio fountains at 2am are not as thrilling when you are trying to sleep and you hear the boom, boom of the water. Overall we really enjoyed Harrah's and would recommend it to others while in the Las Vegas area. Save yourself the hassle of the streets of Las Vegas and buy a monorail pass, it is definitely worth it!

My room was clean, ample room size, bathroom was very small but clean.Very good location on the strip. The buffet is great, both service and food !.The casino is clean, good service and a lively fun place to gamble. As a diamond player the hotel check in was less than 5 min wait. I have nothing negative to say about any of my visits to Harrahs.

Harrah's is one of the best places on the Strip, especially if you are looking for an affordable, well located hotel that is nice, but not over the top. The location can not be beat, right in the middle of the action on the Strip. Rooms are large, comfortable, updated, and very nice. Rates are among the best in Vegas, not the lowest, but for what you get, you'll be quite pleased.
